Meme: Dragon Age: Inquisition Unveils Their Gay Mage, Frank Robinson Passes, Beyoncé Officially Most Powerful Celebrity

Robert Orci open to gay Star Trek character, Utah misses marriage appeal filing deadline, Grindr gets a new look

Bioware has announced details of Dorian from Dragon Age: Inquisition, a powerful mage from a wealthy family he rejected who also happens to be an openly gay character. “Dorian is gay—he is, in fact, the first fully gay character I’ve had the opportunity to write. It added an interesting dimension to his back story, considering he comes from a place where “perfection” is the face that every mage puts on and anything that smacks of deviancy is shameful and meant to be hidden. Dorian’s refusal to play along with that façade is seen as stubborn and pointless by his family, which has contributed to his status as a pariah.” He also kicks ass, can summon the dead to fight for him, and has full control of his magical abilities.

Watch: Michael Urie and Randy Harrison in the “Such Good People” Trailer

Sassy back-talking thieves, faux-new-age witticisms, snarky realty agents, and overly-ambitious homosexual couples: Such Good People has it all. With an endless list of celebrity guest stars and an adorably spunky main cast, Such Good People is an upcoming comedy about a cat-and-mouse hunt for buttloads of cash. The indie flick will be debuting at the Majestic Crest in Los Angeles on July 7th.

The film stars Michael Urie (of Ugly Betty fame) and Randy Harrison (best known for his role on Queer as Folk) in what is being touted as the first post-marriage-equality comedy. The veritably endless supporting cast includes: Scott Wolf (Party of Five, Perception), Ana Ortiz (Devious Maids, Ugly Betty), Carrie Wiita (Super Fun Night), Rick Overton (Groundhog Day), Tom Lenk (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Cabin in the Woods), musician and activist Lance Bass, Alec Mapa (Alec Mapa: Baby Daddy, Switched at Birth), Drew Droege (Sassy Pants,

Alfre Woodard Will Play the President, “Community” Takes on “G.I. Joe” and Why “Scandal” Had to Kill Off a Character

Drop Dead Diva creator Josh Berman promises the legal drama’s final season, “is going to be a very satisfying season where all the ends are tied up.”

Dan Bucatinsky says to The Wrap that creatively it was necessary for Scandal to kill a major character, “The threat of death on a show like this, if it doesn’t pay off occasionally, the audience begins to scream bulls–t.” He’s right, you can’t have big cliffhangers if everyone expects all the major characters to survive. (See: massacre, Moldavian.)

First the ABC Family pilot Alice in Arabia raised eyebrows due to a description that seemed potentially offensive. Then, a review of the pilot script by Buzzfeed that called it “dotted with cultural inaccuracies and stereotypes.” Amid all that controversy, ABC Family has scrapped the pilot. Don’t worry, we’ll probably get to have the same debate when FX’s Tryant debuts.

Meme: Anton Hysén Signed To Myrtle Beach Mutiny, Cardinal Dolan Uncomfortable With Civil Unions, Alec Mapa Is a Filthy “Baby Daddy”

Kevin Bacon embraces Six Degrees, Dan Gillespie-Sells slams closeted celebrities, a clown car of basset hounds

Out soccer star Anton Hysén has been signed to the Myrtle Beach Mutiny, a National Premiere Soccer League club, which puts them about fourth tier in U.S. soccer. The team says that despite Anton Hysén’s youth, his experience playing in Europe will be invaluable to the team. And yes, that’s an out professional soccer player in the Deep South.

Aaron Paul Wants to Appear in “Breaking Bad” Prequel, Checking In To “Bates Motel” and “Duck Dynasty”‘s Shrinking Ratings

The ratings for Duck Dynasty are down 40% from a year ago, but it can’t be blamed on Phil Robertson‘s homophobic and racist comments. Ratings were sliding before Robertson’s infamous GQ profile. Now I’m looking back at that interview and wondering if those comments were an attempt to drum up some publicity.

Aaron Paul says he’s in talks to join the cast of Breaking Bad prequel Better Call Saul. I have to admit, I’m intrigued at the idea of fleshing out Jesse’s “Capt’n Cook” days.

Matthew Perry‘s Odd Couple reboot has found its second cast member, reuniting Perry with his Go On co-star Sarah Baker. She’ll play the assistant to Perry’s Oscar.

TVLand loves its cast reunions, so it’s not a big surprise that Ethan Suplee has been added to the cast of upcoming comedy Jennifer Falls, joining

'Switched at Birth' first look photos: Kathryn throws a murder mystery party in 'The Scream'

Murder is coming to "Switched at Birth." Well, a murder mystery dinner, to be more exact.

In Monday's (Feb. 17) episode, Kathryn (Lea Thompson) and her new bestie Renzo (Alec Mapa) throw a murder mystery party at the Kennish compound and Zap2it has your first look it. What looks like a fun time involving the entire extended family promises to sour quickly when both John (D.W. Moffett) and Kathryn learn the secret the other is hiding.

Seeing as how that's Jenice (Joey Lauren Adams) in one picture -- you know, John's secret smooch partner -- Mr. Kennish better hope the murder's confined to the party.

Check out more first look photos from the episode, "The Scream."

"Switched at Birth" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. Et/Pt on ABC Family.

The Return of the Powerpuff Girls, NBC’s Next Live Musical and Will There Be a U.S. “Sex Box”?

NBC has already announced its next live musical. It will bring Peter Pan back to the small screen. This time, the broadcast won’t have to face comparisons to a beloved movie as much as the iconic 1955 live performance with Mary Martin as Peter Pan.

In talking with TheWrap, Seth Meyers said, “We feel pretty strongly that I’m two shows away from cutting ties.” That should make the Super Bowl weekend show with Melissa McCarthy Meyers’ swan song.

You can stop worrying about the future of your show, Parks & Recreation fans. NBC chief Bob Greenblatt told the Television Critics Association that there will be a seventh season though that’s not an official renewal. Greenblatt was also optimistic about Community but would not offer as optimistic an outlook.

'Switched at Birth' Season 3 premiere: Changes abound in 'Drowning Girl'

With the return of "Switched at Birth" on Monday (Jan. 13) for Season 3, ABC Family's groundbreaking series finds itself in a world of change.

The biggest change? Bay (Vanessa Marano) and Daphne (Katie Leclerc) are entering into their senior year at Carlton, which is undergoing some change of its own. After surviving the threat of closure thanks to the protest in Season 2, Carlton and its students are forced to face the reality of the slight victory and accept the plethora of new hearing students bused in after their under-performing schools were shut down. Things quickly escalate to "Dangerous Minds" territory when Daphne's English class erupts into a fight over reading aloud. It could veer into ridiculous and over-the-top territory, but it mostly worked in the premiere.

Carlton isn't the only place of change. There's a palpable shift in the Kennish-Vasquez home following Daphne getting caught blackmailing Senator Coto. John (D.W. Moffett

FX’s Gay Rapper “Chozen” Takes the Stage, the Return of “The Fosters” and Major “Big Bang Theory” Guest-Stars

I had high hopes for The Assets, I liked the idea of focusing the damage control necessary when a mole is leaking the identities of informants. Unfortunately, audiences weren’t so interested and it’s been pulled from the schedule.

Last night, TVLine got some red carpet scoop. James Earl Jones and Carrie Fisher will be appearing as themselves, encountering Sheldon. Er, can Sheldon’s heart handle meeting those two legends? I’m suddenly worried they’re killing him off.

Jay Leno sued over 'Tonight Show' bestiality jokes

  • Pop2it
Jay Leno is the target of a lawsuit over jokes made by himself and other comedians. A flight attendant named Louann Giambattista is suing Leno, "The Tonight Show" and NBC Universal over jokes that were made on the program during a July 2013 segment called "Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda."

The bit featured three comedians cracking wise about a news story where Giambattista said she was falsely accused to carrying pet rats onto a plane in her underwear. Comedians Jim Norton, Alec Mapa and Kira Soltanovich each put their own spins on the story, joking that the rats were for a sexual use. "I don't understand this one at all. If she wanted something that creepy-looking in her underwear she should have hooked up with me," Norton said in the segment.

Giambattista says Leno stated the accusations against her as facts, before the guest comedians "systematically criticized, defamed, and humiliated" her, according to Courthouse News.

Woman Accused of Having Rats in Her Underwear Sues Jay Leno

Woman Accused of Having Rats in Her Underwear Sues Jay Leno
Remember that flight attendant who was accused of hiding pet rats in her underwear? Louann Giambattista sued her former employer, American Airlines, and now she's suing Jay Leno, The Tonight Show, and NBC Universal for making "crude and defamatory" jokes about her, according to Courthouse News. In an admittedly unfunny segment called "Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda," Leno prompted three comedians — Alec Mapa, Kira Soltanovich, and Jim Norton — to make jokes that "falsely accused Ms. Giambattista of engaging in sexual relations with a rat," according to the suit. (None of the three panelists are being sued.) Those accusations, which Giambattista denies, have caused her and her husband to become outcasts and have negatively impacted their marriage because, as the filing states, "every time [her husband] looks at her he thinks of Defendant Leno and the heinous segment depicting her as a sexual deviant."And people say The Tonight Show doesn't matter anymore.

ABC Family Picks Return Dates For ‘Pretty Little Liars’, ‘Twisted’, ‘Switched At Birth’ & ‘The Fosters’

ABC Family unveiled debut dates for returning series Pretty Little Liars, Twisted, Switched At Birth, and The Fosters, in the second week of January. Social hit Pretty Little Liars returns Tuesday, January 7 at 8 Pm Et (yes, the special Halloween episode still premieres tomorrow night, Tuesday, October 22, at 8 Pm) . The series surged to its best season on record in Summer 2013, passing the 4 million viewer mark for the first time ever, thanks in part to ranking as the No. 1 cable series for the third consecutive summer among females 12-34 — and, not coincidentally, according to SocialGuide, enjoyed the “most social” TV series episode in television history with the series’ summer finale, breaking records with more than 1.9 million tweets. Led by that August 27 finale, Pretty Little Liars accounts for the Top 4 “most social” TV episodes of all time, and 6 of the Top 8 overall. Twisted will return with all-new episodes on Tuesday, January 7, at 9 Pm

Meme: Dylan O’Brien Names Best Abs On “Teen Wolf,” Conan Mocks Bronies and “Catching Fire” Just Needs a Good Threeway

Ronan Farrow heads to MSNBC, Ted Olsen supports anti-gay Ken Cucinnelli, Catching Fire demonstrates the need for a threeway

Alec Mapa is heading to Switched At Birth as a tap dancer in Kathryn’s class. Alec is a really nice, funny guy, and I love seeing great things happen for him.

It appears that our long national nightmare is nearly over, with the Senate voting to reopen the government 81-18. The House could still screw this up, but you now see why the Senate is the upper house. They know how to act like grownups when it comes down to it.

Ted Olsen, the attorney who helped win Windsor and strike down article 3 of Doma has made a $1,000 campaign contribution to virulently anti-gay Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli’s gubernatorial campaign. Oddly, Olsen and his colleague David Boise have joined a lawsuit in Virginia trying to strike down the state’s ban on marriage equality.
