[on writing the screenplay for 'Judgment at Nuremberg'] A few years ago I retired to a room on Fifty-eight Street in New York with some legal records of the Third Reich. And I went there because I believe a write worth his salt at all has an obligation not only to entertain, but to comment on the world in which he lives. Not only to comment but maybe have a shot at reshaping that world.
