She is an actress, known for Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters (1980), Battle of the Network Stars X (1981) and The Women of Country (1993). She has been married to John Haywood since July 16, 1993. She was previously married to R.C. Bannon, Gary Lamar Buck and Ronald Shaw.

She had a career as a country singer both before and after the variety show she did with her sisters. She opened the Louise Mandrell Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tennesee where she performs regularly.
