Michael Maloney was born on June 19, 1957 in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England. He is an actor, known for Babel (2006), Notes on a Scandal (2006) and The Young Victoria (2009).

Trivia (3)

Was down to the last two for the part of Withnail with Richard E. Grant, but told his agent he didn't want the part because he couldn't relate to the character properly.
He is the only actor to have appeared in both Franco Zeffirelli's Hamlet (1990) and Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet (1996). He played "Rosencrantz in the Zeffirilli version, and Laertes in the Branagh version. Not only that, but he played and directed "Hamlet" in Branagh's theatre spoof A Midwinter's Tale (1995).
In 2009, he played two British Prime Ministers: John Major in Margaret (2009) and Sir Robert Peel in The Young Victoria (2009).
