Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Breaking Dawn Part 2 to become Brazil’s top-selling movie in 2012? Starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, Breaking Dawn Part 2 is a major blockbuster worldwide, having grossed more than $600m in less than two weeks. Now, relatively speaking, among the world’s top film markets no country has embraced the Twilight movie franchise’s final installment as ardently as Brazil. (Photo: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.) Breaking Dawn Part 2 has already shattered Brazilian single-day and opening-weekend box-office records — in ticket sales. In other words, inflation and 3D/IMAX surcharges don’t play a role here. In Us dollars, Brazil — with $33.61m — is currently Breaking Dawn Part 2‘s third biggest international market, trailing only the United Kingdom ($43.25m) and Russia / Cis ($36.27m). By the end of its opening weekend, Breaking Dawn Part 2 was already the seventh highest-grossing 2012 release at the Brazilian box office. »

Chicago – Even the most hardcore, defiant fans of “The Twilight Saga” must admit that there clearly was not enough material in Stephenie Meyer’s final book to justify two films. “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2” plays more like a bloated final hour of a better movie than an actually satisfying experience on its own terms. Very little happens in this final chapter for the first hour as director Bill Condon tries to build tension but more often produces unintentional laughter. It’s not a complete disaster as a few of the supporting actors seem to understand the tongue-in-cheek approach that would have fitted this franchise better than the deadly earnestness of most of the cast but it certainly ends this series on an appropriate note – boredom.
“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2” is structured the way that a six-year-old would concoct the final chapter of a franchise. »

To help remind you who's who among the new coven vampires in "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," we put together this handy dandy little refresher guide.
Sure, the Denalis were introduced as wedding guests in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," but these Alaskan vegetarian vamps have a much bigger stand in "Part 2." They're super-tight with the Cullens — even considering themselves faux cousins »

This week's "New Face Friday" feature interview - a series spotlighting the castmates of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 - is of Marlane Barnes, who portrays Maggie of Irish Coven! Hosting this week's group interview is Twilight Facebook, and you can check out the full interview there, but below is the portion featuring my questions with Barnes’ answers. View slideshow: 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' Q: What was your favorite day on set? Marlane: My favorite day on the set was probably the day we put together the flash mob for Bill Condon. That was the same day that we were doing the press kit, and getting together to try and do our posters, so we were doing the photography for those. And we were also shooting, and then also Lee Pace and Mia Maestro came up with this idea to do this flash mob, »
On the Road movie reedited for Toronto screening Based on Jack Kerouac's '50s novel, Walter Salles' Otr adaptation starring Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, and Kristen Stewart (above photo) will be screened at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival. We all knew that. What we didn't know is that Tiff 2012 will unveil a new cut of the film (via indieWIRE), which premiered last spring at the Cannes Film Festival to mixed reviews. The 2hr20m drama has been downsized to approximately 125 minutes. That's an interesting development, as Otr has already been screened in several countries, with varying degrees of box-office success. [Check out the On the Road trailer. Check out Kristen Stewart On the Road poster; Garrett Hedlund On the Road poster.] Otr movie reedit hardly unique On the other hand, different cuts shown in different countries is hardly something new. Whether as a result of poor critical/box-office reception, (perceived) local sensibilities, and/or censorship, the movie you watch in, say, Canada isn't necessarily the exact same movie watched by someone in Singapore, »
