Godzilla vs Evangelion movie announced

Hideaki Anno, director  of the new Godzilla movie coming to screens in Japan on July 29th has announced that Toho Studios is also making a “Godzilla V.S. Evangelion” movie, combining Anno’s best known work “Evangelion” against one of the trademark characters of the Japanese movie industry.

Not many details have been revealed yet, except  that the movie visuasl were  illustrated by famous anime director Mahiro Maeda , who also worked on “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo,” with the following picture being one of the image boards.

The “New Godzilla” is staffed by many contributors of the Evangelion series, and that’s probably the reason they came up with this idea.

New images from Godzilla: Resurgence gives a better look at the King of the Monsters

This year sees The King of the Monsters return to his motherland of Japan for the first movie in the Shin Gojira series, Godzilla: Resurgence. This will be the first Japanese-produced Godzilla movie since 2004’s Godzilla: Final Wars.

Some images leaked online recently that gives us a better look for the new design of Godzilla, which has been created by Mahiro Maeda (Gamera Trilogy). Check out the images below:

Godzilla Resurgence is slated for release in the summer of 2016, with Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion) and Shinji Higuchi (Gamera) directing a cast that includes Hiroki Hasegawa, Yutaka Takenouchi, Satomi Ishihara and of course, the King of the Monsters himself.
