Nogawski, who most recently shared the division's president and COO titles with Robert Madden, will fill the role held by Roger King, the syndication pioneer who died Dec. 8.
Madden, meanwhile, is taking on the newly created role of senior executive vp. His responsibilities will include overseeing the company's programming partnerships with Sony Pictures Television for Wheel of Fortune and "Jeopardy!" and with Harpo Prods. for The Oprah Winfrey Show. He now will report to Nogawski.
Terry Wood, who has been president of creative affairs and development and signed a new deal as recently as the fall, will remain in her capacity at the division, as will president of sales Joe DiSalvo. Both execs will continue reporting to Nogawski.
In his new role as president, Nogawski will oversee creative, business and administrative operations for CBS Corp.'s domestic syndication company. The executive, who had reported to division CEO King, now will report to CBS Corp. president and CEO Leslie Moonves.
"John has a resume of success across all areas of syndication -- first-run and off-network programming as well as both station and media sales," Moonves said. »
