Have Jurassic Dinosaurs Truly Kicked Marvel Superheroes Butt at Worldwide Box Office?

25 July 2015 9:48 PM, PDT | Alt Film Guide | See recent Alt Film Guide news »

'Jurassic World' velociraptor kicks Iron Man ass at worldwide box office. 'Jurassic World' officially surpasses 'The Avengers' at worldwide box office Directed by Colin Trevorrow; starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Vincent D'Onofrio; and co-executive-produced by Steven Spielberg, Jurassic World has officially become the third biggest worldwide box office hit in history. The Jurassic Park sequel – or reboot, as it's basically the same story with a slightly different twist – has surpassed Marvel's Joss Whedon-directed all-star superhero flick The Avengers, which broke box office records back in 2012. Steven Spielberg and daughter Destry Spielberg on the Oscars' Red Carpet Steven Spielberg and daughter Destry Steven Spielberg and daughter Destry Spielberg arrive at the 83rd Academy Awards, held on Feb. 27 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Spielberg has taken home two Best Director Oscars: Schindler's List (1993) and Saving Private Ryan (1998). Schindler's List also won Best Picture, but Saving Private Ryan lost to John Madden's Miramax-distributed Shakespeare in Love. There was quite a bit of animosity at the time, as some felt that Miramax, owned by brothers Bob and Harvey Weinstein, overdid its Oscar campaigning – while still managing to sway enough Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences members to vote for its film. Somewhat ironically, at the 2011 Academy Awards ceremony Steven Spielberg presented the Best Picture Award to The King's Speech. Toplining Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter, Geoffrey Rush, Guy Pearce, and Claire Bloom, this British production was »

'Laugh Killer Laugh' Clip Starring William Forsythe | Exclusive

8 April 2015 4:58 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Kamal Ahmed became famous playing one half of The Jerky Boys, a duo completed by Johnny Brennan who released a number of popular prank call records throughout the 90s. In 2000, Kamal Ahmed bailed on the still-ongoing outfit, instead focusing on his acting and filmmaking career. His latest directorial effort is Laugh Killer Laugh, which puts an oddly unique and hilarious spin on the gangster genre. And we have an exclusive clip spotlighting some of the film's humor.

In Laugh Killer Laugh, popular character actor William Forsythe makes a rare turn as a leading man. He plays a jewel thief named Frank Stone, who is very deeply disturbed. He has been described as an anti-social milquetoast who finds no joy or humor in anything. Not until he awakens from a deep coma with a changed personality. Against his better judgement, he decided to take this new persona to the stage, becoming, »

It could go either way, but I’ll be first in line to check this one out. What do you fright fanatics think?
