Gisele MacKenzie was born on January 10, 1927 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada as Gisele Marie-Louise Marguerite LaFleche. She was an actress, known for The Match Game (1962), The Gisele MacKenzie Show (1957) and The Hollywood Squares (1965). She was married to Robert F. Klein and Robert J. Shuttleworth. She died on September 5, 2003 in Burbank, California, USA.

Daughter, Gigi Downs; son, Mac Shuttleworth.
In 1951, changed her last name, LaFleche, to her father's middle name, MacKenzie, lest her name sound "like a striptease artist's."
In 1955, at the height of her Your Hit Parade (1950) fame, had a top-40 hit record with "Hard to Get" (X Records, a division of RCA Victor), which attained the #5 position in June of that year, remaining on the charts for 16 weeks.
Was a Canadian of French-Scottish ancestry.
Was a talented violinist, and frequently played duets with her lifelong friend Jack Benny on his show, to great comic effect.
Her daughter, vocalist Gigi MacKenzie, included a duet with her mother "Stranger In Paradise" on her 2006 album "Skylark".
