He was born into a Jewish family. When Mussolini's government passed race laws in 1938, Luzzati moved to Switzerland and attended a fine arts school. After the war, he returned to Italy and began his career as a set designer in Milan. In the 1950s, he concentrated on bas-reliefs and columns. He also created illustrations for children's books, paintings, sculptures, and decor for cruise ships. See more »
