Last year’s Royal Rumble event was a controversial one, with Daniel Bryan’s name being chanted throughout the rumble-match itself which was won by a returning Batista. The response from the fans was so vehement that WWE were forced to insert Bryan into the WrestleMania 30 main event, where he won the title in New Orleans. Now, a year later, Bryan has just returned to WWE from a severe neck injury and is back in the fan’s hearts as their firm favourite. This year, unlike last, Bryan is In the rumble match, and a solid favourite, for fans, to go to WrestleMania 31 and fight for the title. Let’s see what happens shall we?
The undercard was a strange one. A bunch of tag-team affairs which have had no real major-build to them and aren’t exactly “big-time” contests. The first of which occurred on the pre-show kick-off and »

Bubba Ray Dudley made his triumphant return to WWE last Sunday at the Royal Rumble. He was the third man in the match, received a loud ovation from the Philadelphia fans and eliminated two guys. He only lasted 4:44 in the match before being eliminated by Bray Wyatt, but it was a great return for him.
The appearance was said to be a one time thing as of now, but that could change. It’s something that WWE likely isn’t going to talk about in public although Bubba Ray has done interview saying he’d love to be back on a more regular basis if they will have him.
What was interesting about his appearance was that WWE didn’t bring D-Von Dudley back. Of the two, Bubba has the more outgoing personality, is a better talker and was a bigger star outside of WWE, but it »

The Royal Rumble is notorious for leaving fans shocked and awe struck. Legends return, big names debut and surprise entrants make big impacts. With last Sunday’s Royal Rumble in the books and returning veterans like Ddp and Bubba Ray Dudley appearing at the event, one cannot help but compare this years surprise guests with the entrants in years past.
Due to the internet, 24 hour media coverage and widespread availability of information the WWE has a much harder time surprising the fans than it once did. This list will focus on competitors who’s presence in the Royal Rumble left fans feeling either surprised, excited or confused by their inclusion in the match.
Before WWE became the enormous public corporation they are today they had to compete for talent with other territories and promotions. This meant filling out 30 spots in a Royal Rumble, along with other matches on the card, »

The 2015 Royal Rumble will be remembered for all of the wrong reasons. A nothing undercard and a very unpopular Rumble Winner, not to mention a pretty dull Rumble match, left the fans in Philadelphia with a sour taste in their mouths.
Was the show one of the worst ever? Many seem to agree that, yes, it was. Not even an instant-classic WWE Championship between Seth Rollins, John Cena and Brock Lesnar and a surprise appearances from Bubba Ray Dudley could save it. Fans made their voices heard at the end of the show by booing Reigns and his cousin The Rock out of the building.
When The Rock can’t even save a show and then fluffs his lines during a post-show promo, you know things are bad. WWE fans took to social media to further voice their disgust at the product and it wasn’t long before #CancelWWENetwork »

We are a few hours removed, as I write this, from the end of the 2015 Royal Rumble. I didn’t stay up to watch it live this year like I normally do because the booking for the show hasn’t interested me enough, and the matches weren’t exciting enough for me to stay awake until 4am (UK-time) to watch them. The feeling from The Undertaker’s peers is that he’ll be wrestling at WrestleMania 31. “My sense from people who know him is that he’s probably going to be there,” Dave Meltzer states on Wrestling Observer Radio.
The WWE top brass likely already know The Undertaker’s decision on working and confirmation could come very soon. It is thought that The Undertaker will do a match based on the fact it is just one date of the year and it pays very well. His opponent is likely to be Bray Wyatt, which explains why Wyatt was given a very strong showing in the 2015 Royal Rumble match.
That leaves Daniel Bryan even more out of the picture. It had looked like Wyatt vs Bryan was established for a Mania programme, but Observer Radio host Bryan Alvarez has now predicted that it will in fact be Bryan vs Sheamus.
