Returning to TV for the first time after his long run on "CSI," William Petersen is set to star in and produce "Hurt People," a drama about a veteran hitman, Hollis Brown, who is employed by the crime family that murdered his wife. He is hired to hunt down and kill his estranged daughter. The show is going to be of a much darker nature than "CSI" and is being shopped around cable stations. [Deadline]

I do love the episode when they bring back my favorite bad guys. And Bret Stiles (Malcolm McDowell) has been away from this show for far too long. I also love that no one is safe from Stiles' creepy brand of cold-reading and insight, I just wish he'd had more time to call Lisbon on her failings a little more thoroughly. Anti-cult activist Gabriel Meadows is dead and his laptop is missing. And before Lisbon (Robin Tunney) can hardly get a look at the crime scene, Jane (Simon Baker) is rooting out a spy in their ranks. Meadows was investigating Visualize, the cult lead by our manipulatively wonderful Bret Stiles while trying to get his sister out. But someone has tampered with the crime scene and one of the uniform cops turns out to be a Visualize minion. Of course, Stiles shows up at Cbi to be helpful and get »

Could Bret Stiles be Red John? Or just one giant red herring? "His Thoughts Were Red Thoughts" had Patrick Jane and his favorite cult leader circling one another yet again and what fun it was.
Stiles and Jane took shots at one another like a couple of prize fighters. Stiles certainly made it his business to know a lot about Patrick Jane. He knew that Jane had used Red John to take down the San Joaquin killer. He knew Rosalind was under protective custody with the FBI and, of course, he knew that Jane had shot a man he had claimed was Red John.
Stiles poked and prodded at Jane mercilessly, even comparing him to the Sorcerer's Apprentice who had woken up a power he could not control. On that count he might just be right.
He even took a shot at Lisbon and tried to turn her against Jane. »
