It's A Full-On 'Scrubs' Reunion On 'Cougar Town'

When Travis ran away to Hawaii on "Cougar Town" (Tue., 8:30 p.m. Et on ABC), he ran into Ted Buckland (Sam Lloyd) from "Scrubs." It was the same actor and the same character across the two Bill Lawrence shows, but Lloyd wasn't the only returning "Scrubs" alumnus in attendance at this week's "Cougar Town," though he was the only character.

Ted and his a cappella group showed up in Florida for a competition, bunking at Jules' place for a while. There he saw Ellie (Christa Miller) -- who looks a lot like Jordan Sullivan from his old job -- sitting next to Bobby's new girlfriend, played by Sarah Chalke -- who of course looks identical to Dr. Elliot Reid.

Cougar Town is about to be invaded by a whole lotta Scrubs alumni, and we’ve got your first look at the gang (minus Zach Braff) reunited on the cul-de-sac.

Sarah Chalke is already in the midst of her arc as Bobby’s gal pal when the big episode, titled “A One Story Town,” airs March 13. In it, Ken Jenkins reprises his role of Jules’ dad, Sam Lloyd’s Ted passes through town with his musical group, The Peons, and Robert “The Todd” Maschio drops by as… The Todd?! TV Review: ABC’s ‘Cougar Town’ Finally Returns With Strong Premiere

Chicago – With almost every episode they’ve produced, ABC’s “Cougar Town” has turned into a better program. It’s been remarkable to watch creator Bill Lawrence and his team refine what works about this show. They’ve taken it away from the star vehicle feel of its first season to an ensemble show in its Finally-debuting third season, tonight, February 14th, 2012. Spend Valentine’s Day with one of the stronger comedies on TV.

Television Rating: 4.0/5.0

ABC is in an enviable position that still could spell death for “Cougar Town” — they have a wealth of quality comedy. “Modern Family” and “Happy Endings” are two of the best on TV, “Suburgatory” gets better with every episode, and “The Middle” is a solid performer. That’s four shows, which leaves no room for “Cougar Town” back on Wednesday nights. Pairing it with Tim Allen’s mediocre “Last Man Standing,” which has a very different demo, »
