"The Vampire Diaries" - "Klaus": It took the better part of Season 2 to meet the ultimate bad guy threatening our favorite Mystic Falls residents, but it was so worth the wait. In "Klaus," we finally met the evil half-vampire, half-werewolf hybrid played by sexy Brit Joseph Morgan. And since the introduction happened via flashback, there was plenty of long, luxurious medieval hair to go around. The Iron Lady Review

16 December 2011 5:29 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Phyllida Lloyd’s first experience directing Meryl Streep involved sun, song and a lot of frolicking along the sand. Three years on they have returned with a far quieter and more serious film, mapping the life of one of Britain’s most notorious political figures and only female Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher.

A patchwork of politics and personal relationships, it is unclear as to whether the film wants to focus on Thatcher the mother or Thatcher the aggressor, with neither given enough depth to make you truly get to grips with. Most attention is given to her role as a wife, her love for Denis absolutely unconditional (pay attention to the repetitive shots of her wedding rings) and tragically hard to bear by the close. Although she would never admit it, she is completely dependent on her husband, his presence during her dementia stricken later years testament to this and »

Meryl Streep Is The Iron Lady In UK Trailer

Due in theaters December 30, 2011 for an Oscar qualifying run, watch the United Kingdom trailer for The Iron Lady. Having the British, ”Our House” (1982) by Madness, underneath is a nice touch.

Doesn’t that give you chills? Streep is brilliant as usual (when isn’t she?) and will see another nomination. But enough of the “actress of our generation” rhetoric. A film about Thatcher – one of my heroes, now thats my cuppa tea.

New Trailer for The Iron Lady Starring Meryl Streep

14 November 2011 8:00 AM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

A new trailer has gone online for the Margaret Thatcher biopic The Iron Lady starring Meryl Streep.  For those who are unfamiliar with Thatcher, she was Britain's austere and highly controversial Prime Minister in the 1980s.  As you'll see in this trailer, she was also Important, Changed the World, Fought for Respect, and Would One Day Rise to Be the Subject of a Movie that Desperately Wanted to Win Awards.  It's one thing to cast Meryl Streep as a famous person (there's no faster way to an Oscar nomination), but I was stunned that there's a King's Speech-style scene in the movie.  I'm surprised the the trailer doesn't include the words "For Your Consideration". Hit the jump to check out the trailer.  The film also stars Harry Lloyd, Jim Broadbent, Anthony Head, and Olivia ColmanThe Iron Lady opens for an awards-qualifying run in New York and Los Angeles on December 30th, »
