Sneak Peek more new set footage and images from producer Michael Bay's reboot of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", with director Jonathan Liebesman adapting the popular Mirage comic book series.
The new live-action feature showcasing CG animated 'Ninja Turtles', stars Will Arnett as 'Vernon Fenwick', Alan Ritchson as 'Raphael', Noel Fisher as 'Michelangelo', Jeremy Howard as 'Donatello', Pete Ploszek as 'Leonardo' and Danny Woodburn as the giant rat 'Splinter'.
The original characters were created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in 1984 through a self-published comic book, intended to parody Marvel Comics' "Daredevil" and "New Mutants", Dave Sim's "Cerebus" and Frank Miller's "Ronin".
The story focused on four teenage anthropomorphic turtles, named after Renaissance artists.
Trained by their anthropomorphic rat 'sensei' in the art of 'ninjutsu', the Turtles lived in the storm sewers of New York City, battling criminals, evil overlords and alien invaders, »

Megan Fox is probably going to shoot down your tried-and-true pick-up lines on the best of days, even if you're not wearing a geometrically-patterned turtle shell with oven mitts on your hands and deedlybops on your head. So imagine how difficult it must be for Raphael (Alan Ritchson) to convince April O'Neil (Megan Fox) to give him back his signature sais. This new batch of set images from Jonathan Liebesman's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shows just that scene unfolding. I'm assuming the red bandana around Ritchson's arm is to distinguish him as Raph and that he's not robbing O'Neil as some sort of gang initiation rewrite. Hit the jump to view the new images. The film also stars Danny Woodburn, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, and Noel Fisher. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles opens on June 6, 2014. Check out the new set images below (via Cbm): [gallery link="file" order="Desc" columns="1"] »

Set photos of the reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been flying in thick and fast and this new one features April O'Neil (Megan Fox) and Raphael (played by Alan Ritchson, pre-cgi).
This new image seems to be in a similar vein to the previous set photos and could possibly be from the same scene. What's interesting to note is that April is holding Raph's signature sais - and she's sporting a yellow jacket!
As always, throw out your random speculation on what the scene could mean!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman from a screenplay by Josh Appelbaum, Andrew Nemec, Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and John Fusco. Joining Fox and Ritchson are Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick, Danny Woodburn as Master Splinter and William Fitchner in an unspecified role. The movie is set for release next year. »

The Michael Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been filming all over the New York City area. A week ago in Chinatown they shot scenes of people running for their lives from a subway station. Today, a video has surfaced from that scene and it includes April O'Neil (Megan Fox) slowly creeping into the frame. One might speculate that the people were frightened of a large-assed turtle walking and talking, but that is just a logical guess. As for today, Raphael (Alan Ritchson) blended in with New Yorkers by walking around Times Square as though he was man in a Turtle suit. He even posed for a photo with a curious little boy. Ninja Turtles will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman ("Wrath of the Titans"), and produced by Michael Bay ("The Rock"). The script was written by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec, based on characters created by Kevin Eastman »

“These are much more than just a series of random, isolated incidents.”
The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film did a lot of things right. It remains legitimately funny and compelling, arguably more so the older a viewer gets. Is it nostalgia? No, nostalgia is not blind—I for one feel nostalgic when I watch The NeverEnding Story, but that doesn’t mean I think it’s a good movie or a good adaptation of the book. The fact is, the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film is good because it is crafted true to the mythology’s characters and situations, adapting them with real heart.
On the other end of the artistic spectrum, Platinum Dunes, Michael Bay’s production company, usually creates movies that are met with negative reactions, such as its remakes of Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Especially in terms of its remakes, »

A few days ago, we got our first look at the actors playing The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in their motion capture suits. In the set photos, three of the turtles appear to have been captured by the Foot Clan. Here's a video from the set of the actors shooting that scene. It's not really action packed, but I guess it kind of gives you a sense of what the tone will be. The video also gives us a little more context of the scene that they were shooting.
The Jonathan Liebesman-directed film is based on the characters created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman. It stars Megan Fox as April O'Neil, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick, Danny Woodburn as Master Splinter, and William Fightner in an iconic role that I think is Shredder. »

Pete Ploszek (Leonardo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), and Noel Fisher (Michelangelo) were captured on set, literally, in new video from the New York City home base of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Watch as the Foot Clan loads three of the ooze-laden reptiles into the back of a cargo van. Where is Raphael? Surely he and April O'Neil (Megan Fox) are plotting a rescue mission somewhere deep in the sewer.

Last night I turned to Xbox Live to check out Shane Carruth's Upstream Color for the first time. While not quite as impenetrable after one viewing as its predecessor, 2004's Primer, Upstream still demands the utmost attention of its viewers in exchange for the slightest hint of clarity. The dialogue is sparse, the setting is ever-changing, the editing is heavily dependent on juxtaposition as a way of creating meaning, and the sound design/foley work is turned up to "11" at times. Whereas Primer played more to the intellect behind making time travel a reality, Upstream is an extremely visceral experience that is more interested, or at least more successful, in eliciting an emotional response than explaining how a rare organism can be harvested, used as a method of mind control, and ultimately link humans to pigs. The exact degree to which it succeeds will vary from viewer to viewer »

We've seen plenty of photos from the New York set of Michael Bay's upcoming "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" reboot. The first shots showed April O'Neil (Megan Fox) doing a news segment about exercising, but new photos indicate that she may lose her job at Channel 6. It's possible that she's just carrying a box, but in the film world that usually means you're fired. If that's the case, it's likely that her co-worker Vernon Fenwick (Will Arnett) had something to do with this, since he's known for stealing April's stories. Check out the photos below. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) and is set to hit theaters on June 6th, 2014. Photos: (click to enlarge) »
