Kate McKinnon took the prize last year and could repeat her win, thanks to several memorable “SNL” episodes that saw her reprise Hillary Clinton in the heat of the election, not to mention her touching Leonard CohenHallelujah” tribute. With the exception of Niecy Nash (“Getting On”), all of last year’s nominees are eligible this year: Mayim Bialik (“The Big Bang Theory”), Anna Chlumsky (“Veep”) and Gaby Hoffmann and Judith Light (“Transparent”). And while they missed out on a nod last year, never count out previous nominees Jane Krakowski (who married David Cross on this season of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”) and Julie Bowen, who already has a pair of Emmys for her “Modern Family” role. There’s also Bowen’s co-star Sofia Vergara, who has four previous nominations for her role. ‘Blackish’ Secures Off-Network Cable Deals at Bet and FX

18 April 2017 10:05 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Black-ish” is expanding its TV footprint, securing off-network syndication deals at both Bet Networks and FX Networks.

Disney-abc has also completed broadcast syndication sales for the sitcom, which has been cleared in more than 90% of the country with Tribune Broadcasting as the core station group for its launch in fall 2018 when the award-winning comedy also begins airing on FX and Bet.

The rich sales deals come as the broadcast networks are making decisions for their bubble shows. Though “Black-ish” is a shoo-in for a fourth season with critical praise, steady numbers and a slew of high-profile awards and nominations, the syndication news essentially confirms its renewal for Season 4. A spinoff for “Black-ish” is also in the works, and is expected to air as a backdoor pilot this season.

Earlier this year, “Black-ish” also landed an Svod deal to stream its first two seasons on Hulu.

Cars 3 Posters Pit Lightning McQueen Against New Millennial Racers

17 April 2017 9:41 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Disney has released two international posters for Cars 3, which show Lightning McQueen squaring off against two young racers Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo) and Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer). While Jackson Storm becomes his most contested rival on the Piston Cup circuit, Cruz Ramirez is actually on Lightning's side, serving as his new trainer to help him beat the young upstart. The first poster teases a scene we've previously seen in early concept art, which may be an homage to an iconic movie.

BadTaste.it debuted these posters, the first of which shows Lightning McQueen on the beach. You may recall that, back in May, Disney revealed concept art that showed Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez racing on the sand, which may or may not be an homage to the iconic oceanside race between Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) in Rocky 3. The second poster, however, is set at a packed racing arena, »
