Furry Lewis (1895–1981)

Born in Mississippi, Walter "Furry" Lewis was one of the original Delta Bluesmen. A contemporary of Robert Johnson, Lewis specialized in slide guitar. He has multiple recordings that can be easily be found. Furry lost his leg while trying to jump a freight train. See full bio »
