Lorna Leslie(I)
- Camera and Electrical Department
- Visual Effects
I started my career in the film industry shortly after earning my BA degree from UC Berkeley in Anthropology. Initially drawn to cinema through Ethnographic and Documentary films, I began working as a Production Assistant and then found the Camera Department worked well with my mechanical and problem solving skills. Living in the Bay Area, I spent many years working as a PA and non-union camera assistant, I also attended the Maine Film Workshops camera classes and stayed on as a course assistant for the summer. I continued to return there for several years as a course assistant and worked my way into the Union in 1996. I have since relocated to Southern California and enjoy working on a huge variety of projects, including commercials, television and feature films. During my 25 year career I have learned to be flexible and open minded. This attitude has allowed me become successful at using a diverse range of equipment and formats, from 16mm to LF Digital cameras.
I look forward to continuing to learn and grow along with our industry and remain excited about the future.
