The destruction in Man of Steel will play a major part in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

18 hours ago | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Since it was announced last year, we’ve heard a lot of talk about one half of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but not so much on the other. Over the weekend our comments section blew up as people gave their thoughts on the colour of Batman’s new outfit, but there wasn’t so much talk about Superman when his costume was revealed.

Warning – potential spoilers…

So, just what will become of the Last Son of Krypton in this team-up movie? Well, according to Bad Ass Digest, the destruction caused by the fight between Superman and Zod in Man of Steel will play a major role in the plot for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. According to their sources who have read the script, Superman has become a very controversial figure, having intervened in America’s fight in the Middle East and has even been banned from Chinese airspace. »

'Batman v Superman' Rumor Reveals Epic Fight Details

15 December 2014 3:59 PM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Production on Warner Bros. highly-anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice wrapped just a few weeks ago, with director Zack Snyder now starting the lengthy post-production process on this superhero adventure. There will be Spoilers that follow, so, as always, read on at your own risk. While we wait for the first trailer to surface, Badass Digest has new plot details that tease a major fight between Superman (Henry Cavill) and the villainous Doomsday, along with plot points that may have been put in place to alleviate some fans' concerns from last year's Man of Steel.

The story opens with Batman's (Ben Affleck) origins then fast forwards to Bruce Wayne coming to Metropolis during the Superman/Zod fight in Man of Steel. The script by Chris Terrio, which was turned in just before production started, then turns its attention primarily to Superman. He is now living with Lois Lane and »

First official look at Ben Affleck’s Batman v Superman Batsuit in colour

13 December 2014 3:25 PM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

We’ve seen a couple of shots of Ben Affleck in the Batsuit in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but not in colour… until now. ComicBook has discovered a colourised version of the first official photo of Affleck’s Dark Knight, which is taken directly from Zack Snyder’s Cruel & Unusual Films production company website…

So, pretty much as expected, but now that we know exactly what colour scheme they’ve gone with, how do you think it stacks up against the previous all-black versions we’ve seen on the big screen?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25th, 2016 with Zack Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Harry Lennix (General Swanwick) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, »

Jeremy Irons talks Alfred role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

9 December 2014 11:04 AM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has recently wrapped shooting but is not due for release for another fifteen months yet. The film is set to introduce us to lots of new characters and reimagining of characters we have seen on screen before. One of those is Bruce Wayne’s butler Alfred Pennyworth, played by Jeremy Irons, and so far not much has been said or revealed about the character in this version. Until now.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Irons revealed a bit of information about his role of Alfred, stating that it’s “not a large role” and adding that: “He is quite a different Alfred than we have seen so far. Zack Snyder had very clear views about what he wanted. I would just say he’s more hands-on perhaps than just a butler.”

So although it is a small role it sounds like it »

8 December 2014 3:03 PM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Filming has wrapped, but we’re still a little way off from an official trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (unless it does come out this year, attached to The Hobbit: The Five Armies), but that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill churning.

So what do have today? Robin? Doomsday? KGBeast?? Nope. According to Bad Ass Digest, there will be a major Batman character that will already be dead by the time the movie starts.

Still with us? Spoilers ahead…

So, the site is claiming that Detective Jim Gordon will already be dead in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with script calling for a shot of his memorial plate. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard a rumour that the Batman character will already be dead, with the same site reporting that Robin would have bitten the dust as well.

Doomsday, Joker and KGBeast “confirmed” for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

3 December 2014 2:20 AM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Hot off the heels of yesterday’s blockbuster announcement of the casting for Suicide Squad, we now have some possible news on plot details for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

According to Badass Digest – who are usually spot on with “scoops” – Doomsday will indeed be in the main villain of the piece. Not only that, but Jessie Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor will have a henchman who is called Anatoli Knyazev in the script. Hardcore DC fans will take pride in knowing that this is in fact DC villain KGBeast, who has battled with Batman in the past. It is unlikely that we’ll see KGBeast in action in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but there are always other films…

The website also claims that while Jared Leto’s Joker is unlikely to appear in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, he will be mentioned as Superman is very much aware of his existence. »

Twitter user Mike Eisenberg, who is a Chicago local and runs a production company, was near the set last night and tweeted about it. He first said “Lots of people waiting in cold to watch scene film, but it looked like the IMAX cameras were not handling the cold well. Could be a while.”

He then confirmed that they were using IMAX cameras to shoot the iconic scene: “I can confirm with my own eyes that Batman v Superman is filming at least the Wayne murder scene with full IMAX film cameras. »

Christopher Nolan comments on Ben Affleck’s casting as Batman

12 November 2014 1:38 PM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

While doing the rounds for his latest blockbuster Interstellar [read our review here], director Christopher Nolan shared his thoughts on Ben Affleck’s casting in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Nolan told The Daily Beast, “I’m only involved in that project in an advisory capacity as an executive producer, so I’m not involved in the day-to-day. When they told me that Ben was interested in doing it, I thought, ‘How thrilling!’”

Nolan went on to comment, “This is the guy who just won Best Picture as a director and as an actor, and I thought it would be a great thing that he’d be willing to do this. I think the guy is incredibly talented and I’m very excited to see what Zack and Ben do together.”

The initial backlash on Affleck’s casting has appeared to have died down, possibly helped by his recent strong turn in Gone Girl. »
