Synopsis for Grimm Episode 1.08 - Of Mouse and Man

19 December 2011 11:26 AM, PST | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

NBC's new series "Grimm" is on holiday hiatus until Friday, January 6th, but in the meantime we have a brief synopsis of its upcoming Episode 1.08, "Of Mouse and Man". While we've enjoyed several of the series' episodes so far, they really need to tighten things up a bit as we're finding the show to be quite uneven thus far.

In any event, here's what you can look forward to on the 6th:

"Of Mouse and Man" Synopsis (Airing 1/6/12):

When a man is found dead in a dumpster, the investigation leads to a sly snake and timid mouse.

Inspired by Grimms' fairy tales, "Grimm" follows Portland homicide Detective Nick Burkhardt, played by David Giuntoli, as he battles supernatural forces. Bitsie Tulloch portrays his fiancée, Juliette Silverton, with Russell Hornsby as his partner, Hank Griffin, and Silas Weir Mitchell as his confidant, Monroe. Reggie Lee and Sasha Roiz co-star. A Preview of Grimm Episode 1.07 - Let Your Hair Down

12 December 2011 12:20 PM, PST | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

After a great start, the NBC series "Grimm" hit a little bump in the road with its fifth episode, but this past Friday night's installment saw the show return to form (thanks largely to the focus on Monroe's character). Here's hoping the upcoming Episode 1.07, "Let Your Hair Down", in which the tale of Rapunzel gets a "Grimm" spin, continues the trend.

Friday round-up: previews, cast interviews and new projects

9 December 2011 7:39 PM, PST | CapricaTV | See recent CapricaTV news »

This is the first part of the weekend monster update, with more news & stuff coming in the next couple of days.

I got my Grimms confused in yesterday's post as it turns out. Tonight's episode won't be "Let Your Hair Down," but "The Three Bad Wolves." Rapunzel doesn't show up until next week.

Nick (David Giuntoli) is called to a suspected arson case, which exposes a longstanding family feud that brings Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) face-to-face with characters from his troubled past. While Monroe wrestles with restraining his wild side, it’s up to Nick to keep everything from going up in flames. Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Sasha Roiz and Reggie Lee also star. There are a few sneak peeks at THR and Dread Central. Spoiler TV has the promotional stills. Here is the teaser:

A Couple of Previews of Tonight's Episode of Grimm - The Three Bad Wolves

9 December 2011 11:29 AM, PST | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

NBC shook things up a bit this week by scheduling an extra installment of "Grimm" last night, but sadly, it was one of the weakest eps we've seen thus far. Hopefully the show will get back on track tonight with "The Three Bad Wolves". While we wait to find out if it does, check out this pair of promo videos for the episode featuring our favorite Blutbad, Monroe.

Grimm: Two New Trailers for Tonight’s New Episode

9 December 2011 10:00 AM, PST | ScifiMafia | See recent ScifiMafia news »

Yes, two new Grimms in one week! And this one looks like it has even more Monroe goodness! We love this show, and Silas Weir Mitchell‘s part in it really adds a necessary quirky element (because people who are actually bees, or goats, or The Pied Piper – that’s just not quirky enough for us). Bring on the Big Bad Wolves:

The Three Bad Wolves (TV-14) A Suspicious Fire Reveals A Rivalry With Connections To Monroe –Nick (David Giuntoli) is called to a suspected arson case, which exposes a longstanding family feud that brings Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) face-to-face with characters from his troubled past. While Monroe wrestles with restraining his wild side, it’s up to Nick to keep everything from going up in flames. Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Sasha Roiz and Reggie Lee also star.

Grimm airs Fridays at 9/8c on NBC. »

Exclusive: We Get 'Grimm' With Actor Reggie Lee

18 November 2011 3:00 PM, PST | FEARnet | See recent FEARnet news »

This television season, modern-day fairytales are all over the networks (okay, just two). The darker of those, Grimm, imagines Grimm Fairytales as real. The creatures wear human disguises, and only a Grimm can see through to their monstery filling. Grimm comes to us by way of Angel producer David Greenwalt, so you can expect a similar mix of monsters and humor. The humor portion is deftly handled by actor Reggie Lee (whose other gritty projects include Drag Me to Hell and Prison Break as well as a role in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises). We chat with the gregarious actor about fairytales, Comic Con, and The Dark Knight Rises (well, we try). Tells us about your role on Grimm. I play Sgt. Wu. I'm kind of a »

Amy Acker to Guest Star on NBC's Grimm in the New Year

18 November 2011 11:24 AM, PST | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

NBC's freshman series "Grimm" just got a whole lot more interesting with the news that Amy Acker ("Angel", "Dollhouse") will be guest starring in an upcoming 2012 episode as a character known as the Black Widow.

TVLine got the scoop that most of the time Acker will be Lena, your run-of-the-mill happy housewife. But because she suffers from rapid-aging syndrome, every five years she has to leech the life out of three guys in three short days in order to maintain her appearance.

From executive producers David Greenwalt ("Angel", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") and Jim Kouf ("Angel", National Treasure) comes a new world of police work where all cases have a storybook connection...but not always happily ever after. "Grimm" stars David Giuntoli as Portland, Oregon, homicide detective Nick Burkhardt, Silas Weir Mitchell as his mentor of sorts Monroe, Russell Hornsby as Lt. Hank Griffin, Bitsie Tulloch as Juliette Silverton, Sasha Roiz as Captain Renard, »

Pics from Tonight’s New Episode of Grimm, with a Guest Star from Lost

18 November 2011 4:30 AM, PST | ScifiMafia | See recent ScifiMafia news »

Omg it’s Phil from Lost. Does the poor man ever play just a regular, easygoing guy? I’m guessing that tonight is no exception, as Patrick Fischler is guesting on tonight’s new episode of Grimm, “Lonelyhearts.” I mean, come on, look at the description:

He plays a Grimm creature – the Ziegevolk (aka ”Bluebeard”). The Zeigevolk has goat-like features, often taking form of a satyr. With a single touch he renders all under his charming spell, particularly those of the opposite sex.  He uses this to his advantage during mating season by releasing powerful pheromones through his skin.  Known to eat small, rare toads to enhance these powers; the Zeigevolks are most dangerous when on the prowl to gather a herd.

You can’t help but wonder what the poor actor thought when he discovered that part of the casting call was someone with “goat-like features.” Someone who eats small rare toads. »
