Photos – The Deep End 1.01

20 December 2009 7:06 PM, PST | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

The Deep End, the new midseason show from ABC, premieres on January 21st.  Normally, I might say something along the lines "oh, no…..not another law show".  But I've fallen in love with The Good Wife, so I'm not as skeptical lately.

Plus, I just took a look at the promo photos for the pilot episode and realized that this show stars Billy Zane.  Billy Zane!  Dude is badass.  I don't know why, I just love him.  And you know that if a walk-off breaks out in the show, Billy Zane will be around to call it.  So things are already looking up.

Oh, and for all you Twilight fans, that chick who got fired from the third movie is making a guest appearance in the pilot episode on January 21st.  Check out the photos below.  I'm hoping to get some video previews for you all soon.

Reggie Lee On The Drag Me To Hell Experience

18 October 2009 | shocktillyoudrop.com | See recent shocktillyoudrop news »

We got to chat with actor Reggie Lee last night at the 2009 Spike Scream Awards who was there to support Drag Me To Hell , which was up for several awards and ended up winning the best horror movie nod. When asked if he was familiar with director Sam Raimi from the Spider-Man trilogy or the Evil Dead trilogy, Lee answered honestly, "Well, I of course knew Spider-Man . I.m one of the few people that didn.t know the Evil Dead trilogy but I watched it before I did this film and it was ridiculous! Sam.s unbelievable, I can.t say enough about that man. He.s the most generous person in the world, very collaborative and has a wicked sense of humor." Known as a prankster on set, especially with his actors, we asked if Sam ever pulled one over on him, but he tells »

Halloween Movie Round-Up ~ Zombieland, Paranormal Activity & Drag me to Hell

9 October 2009 3:00 PM, PDT | MovieSet.com | See recent MovieSet.com news »

October is here, and you know what that means! Halloween preparations all month long! If you’re having a hard time thinking of a super spooky costume or getting in the Halloween spirit, then head on down to the theater and scare yourself silly with either Ruben Fleischer’s horror/comedy Zombieland, or Oren Peli’s horror/thriller Paranormal Activity.

Of course not everyone can handle getting scared in the theater, so if group shocks don’t tickle your fancy then why not pick up Sam Raimi’s Drag Me to Hell and stay in for a night of screams.

Zombieland

Zombies continue to be one of the most popular movie monsters on the market, but zombie comedies don’t come along all that often.  Shaun of the Dead has reigned supreme since 2004 as the only mainstream zombie comedy, but Zombieland gives it a run for its money with a »

Drag Me To Hell (Review)

27 May 2009 10:49 PM, PDT | SoundOnSight | See recent SoundOnSight news »

Drag Me to Hell Directed by Sam Raimi Where other horror pioneers' attempts to return to the cinematic styles that earned them their reputations have generally ranged from middling (George Romero's Land and Diary of the Dead) to embarrassing (Dario Argento's Mother of Tears), Sam Raimi effortlessly slips back into "spook-a-blast" mode with the outrageously fun Drag Me to Hell. Viewers worried about Raimi's long absence from the genre need not worry about his directorial touch, nor the PG-13 rating; Raimi has kept many of his trademark flourishes handy in the Spider-Man series anyway (first-person perspectives, Dutch angles), and his Evil Dead films were more about manic entertainment than conspicuous bloodletting. Hell seemed to be headed for trouble when initial star Ellen Page dropped out due to scheduling issues, but replacement Alison Lohman (Matchstick Men, Beowulf) more than ably fills her shoes as Christine Brown, a loan officer »

Two New Drag me to Hell TV Spots

6 May 2009 9:07 AM, PDT | Beyond Hollywood | See recent Beyond Hollywood news »

Two more TV spots for Sam Raimi’s upcoming “Drag Me to Hell”, his return to (somewhat) low budget horror, because let’s face it, as much as they keep telling us this is Raimi returning to his low-budget roots. It ain’t. Not really. Anyways, it still looks as low-tech as you can get from a Sam Raimi film after three “Spider-Man” CGI-heavy movies, though, so that’s something I suppose. Two new killer 30-second spots below. A loan officer ordered to evict an old woman from her home finds herself the recipient of a supernatural curse, which turns her life into a living hell. Exclusive Interview: 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Star on Boarding Sam Raimi's Ship 'To Hell'!

Seems like the pirate genre that once ruled the high-sea is getting the short end of the wooden leg lately. With Gore Verbinski bailing on Pirates of the Caribbean 4, those modern-day Somali pirates getting such negative media coverage (to be fair, they are, well, criminals), and Pirates star Reggie Lee jumping aboard Sam Raimi's Drag Me to Hell. Nevertheless, we caught up with Lee, sans pirate attire, to chat about his latest a role as Stu Rubin in Raimi's upcoming return to horror, and he let loose on the film's special effects/make-up, the MPAA's recent PG-13 rating, and more.
