His father was part of the wealthy family that owned Lee Jeans, and when he found out his son London wanted to be a stand-up comic, he went to several nightcubs, hotels, resorts, etc., and paid them to feature his son in their clubs. He also paid various TV variety shows and talk shows to book his son for their show. His heyday was from the mid-'60s to the early '70s, after which he faded away.
