In the mid-'50s she was for a time a showgirl and then a singer at the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas.
Semi-retired, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA
When she was three, her family moved to Fontana, California and she began singing while still a child and, by the end of her teen years, she'd turned professional.
She was named Miss Fontana of 1953. She then went to Las Vegas and became a showgirl and singer. In 1955, she was officially crowned "Miss Cue," a reference to nuclear testing done in Nevada that year under the name "Operation Cue." Her crown was a mushroom cloud and she posed with several members of the military in a swimsuit and her crown.
Perhaps best known for her starring role in the cult classic feature film Night Tide, shot on the Santa Monica pier, where she played Mora, a mysterious mermaid opposite Dennis Hopper.
