T.E. Lawrence was born on August 16, 1888 in Tremadoc, Caernarvonshire, Wales as Thomas Edward Lawrence. He was a writer, known for Lawrence of Arabia (1962), T. E. Lawrence 1888-1935 (1962) and With Allenby in Palestine and Lawrence in Arabia (1919). He died on May 19, 1935 in Clouds Hill, Dorset, England.

He served in the Royal Air Force as an enlisted man under the names John Hume Ross and Thomas Edward Shaw. He joined the RAF anonymously for the first time in 1922, but quit due to press publicity.
