Michael Laren (nom d' theatre) Actor, Singer, Bohemian Bon Vivant Michael was catapulted to success early on in his dramatic journey, with a career-defining performance as Jack Frost in "The Christmas Song Sketch", from Sister Bea DeMille's 1967 production of the St. Mary's Catholic Grade School Christmas Holiday Extravaganza. The reviews from the Vatican were favorable. Alas, his intervening years have been spent trying to recapture that youthful pinnacle of success and the aforementioned papal adulation (Pope Paul VI). Through the many a succession of papal heirs to St. Peter's throne (with nary a congratulatory note or opening-night bouquet from any of them, mind you). As a side note, it has been said many rabbinical leaders follow his career with great interest (Unconfirmed). And so Michael, ever the optimist, of stout heart and still steadfast faith, continues ever onward in search of his next great theatrical conquest. Be it under the lights of the Broadway stage...a nice supporting role, with housing, modest Per Diem and limited dancing; or beneath the tinsel of Hollywood...a simple recurring role as a kindly shopkeeper who, though mute, appears in every episode of a weekly one-hour drama series and whose presence is integral to the story lines...Wherever players play, Michael Laren will trod those boards. And for many a year to come, Lord willing, he shall continue to thrill audiences and producers alike.
