The Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life TV show seems to have been cancelled by Fox. The show, starring Jack Cutmore-Scott, Meaghan Rath, James Earl, Charlie Saxton, Justin Bartha, and Liza Lapira, is off the Fox schedule.  A rerun of The Simpsons, "Lisa the Veterinarian," has now been scheduled to air in Cooper Barrett's 7:30pm timeslot, on May 8th. As reported last week, the network had already preempted the episode once slated for April 24th.

Fox ordered 13 episodes of Cooper Barrett's Guide but tonight's episode, "How to Survive Your Parents' Visit," guest starring Alan Ruck, Jane Kaczmarek, and Juicy J (Jordan Houston), is only the 10th to make it to air. It could be Cooper Barrett's TV series finale. Watch three previews, below. The first season finale was originally scheduled for May 8th, but the preemptions have ruled that out. »

Will Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life survive its first season? Fox is preempting the April 24th episode. It will be replaced by a rerun of the The Simpsons, season 27 episode, "Paths of Glory." The preemption comes just weeks after Fox moved Cooper Barrett from 8:30pm to 7:30 and shifted Bob's Burgers to its old slot. None of this is good news. Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life is likely to be cancelled.

‘Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life’ Nearing Cancellation With Fox Schedule Change

12 April 2016 6:48 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Though a cancellation has not been made official, “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life” is nearing its end with recent changes on Fox’s schedule, Variety has learned.

This weekend’s upcoming April 17 episode will air as scheduled at 7:30 p.m., but the following Sunday April 24 episode has been preempted with an encore of “The Simpsons,” leading into a new episode of “Simpsons.” On Sunday May 1, as always planned, the entire night is preempted with the second annual “American Country Countdown Awards.” No word yet on the May 8 episode, which was the original airdate for “Cooper Barrett’s” season finale — meaning two produced episodes could potentially never air.

While Fox has declined to comment on the fate of “Cooper Barrett,” it’s crunch time for a number of bubble shows as the Upfronts approach in May.

Cooper Barrett and his gang are returning to Fox this Sunday with a new episode of “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life,” an action-comedy that follows a problem-ridden twentysomething and his group of friends as they attempt to navigate their way through the inevitable mishaps of post-grad life.

In the latest “Cooper Barrett” installment, titular hero Cooper (Jack Cutmore-Scott) and his crew grapple with the disappearance of Cooper’s cell phone.  In an attempt to nab the phone thief, the guys resort to the “find my phone” mobile app, which leads them to a series of random destinations including an ice cream shop and a sketchy house that Neal (Charlie Saxton) refers to as the “Bates Motel.” While Cooper and the guys are dealing with his missing phone predicament, Leslie (Liza Lapira) and Kelly (Meaghan Rath) participate in a karaoke duet that escalates into a bar brawl.

Angel From Hell: Did CBS' New Comedy Earn Its Wings?

7 January 2016 7:00 PM, PST | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

CBS changed up its Thursday slate this week with the arrival of an Angel From Hell. Was the Jane Lynch/Maggie Lawson “buddy” comedy Heaven-sent in the laughs department?

Even upon my [Counts fingers…] third viewing of this pilot, I still found myself laughing out loud at the jokes I’d hear twice before, so in my opinion there’s something here to build on. As Amy, the titular guardian angel, Lynch is obviously having a field day, getting to deliver her zingers with a bit more, yes, glee than she did as drill sergeant-like Sue Sylvester. »
