Twain looks at the stunning outfit, and she remembers something else: pain.
“Videos, especially, are so difficult, really challenging,” the 51-year-old country icon tells People. “Long hours – and you’re not really thinking of the glamour. I just remember the boots were so tight and my legs were all swollen at the end of it. It was just a really, really long day.”
The breathtaking costume, of course, was
Earlier this year, Twain took EW behind the scenes of her new record; she revealed that she drew upon years of stored-up musical ideas that she collected on various recording devices.
“I’m forever backing things up,” she said. “So if it’s a rainy day or I’m bored,
When you’ve sold a bajillion albums and become one of the best-selling female artists in history, you can be allowed a little time off. So it’s been for country-pop queen Shania Twain. But after her successful two-year Las Vegas residency and 2015’s Rock This Country tour, she’s finally returning with a follow-up to 2002’s diamond-certified Up! “I’m so overdue!” says the 51-year-old. “I feel like I just need to keep making albums now.”
For her fifth studio LP, due in late spring of 2017, Twain drew upon years of melodic and
The hunky as hell Maroon 5 frontman is turning 36 Wednesday and over the years, we’ve managed to fall more and more in love with everything about him.

Is it his smile? Maybe. His facial features? Yup. His incredibly charming personality? Absolutely. And the fact that he looks perfect shirtless? Swoon-ville overload!
So to show off the many reasons we can’t seem to get enough, we’ve compiled a few of the best things he has told us over the years.
1. On always winning: "I never lose. But that's probably a bad thing to say isn't it?"
2. On recording Hands All Over with producer Mutt Lange in Germany: "It's not a hard life when you're swimming in Lake Geneva and going to make music and having the time of your life."
3. On always
This got me thinking: There aren't too many female solo acts who've sold 10x million copies of a single album. How do they stack up in quality? I've ranked my picks for the best ten below, and hopefully it'll inspire you to scream and complain. (Note: I haven't included bands with female singers, obviously. Rumours and Tragic Kingdom would surely shake up this list.)
10. Mariah Carey, Daydream (1995)
Mariah's best and biggest singles pepper Daydream: The Tom Tom Club-riffing "Fantasy" is a transcendant roller-coaster ride; the melodramatic "One Sweet Day" remains the biggest charting

1) Emma Watson
Emma Watson worked with Pattinson in the Harry Potter films, so she knows just how good-looking he is first-hand. 'He is a very, very handsome man,' Watson dished about her co-star. She’s also a huge fan of the Twilight series.
“Lover” left its competition in the dust, scoring nearly 50 percent of the vote. “Scheiße,” Gaga’s thumping meditation on how powerful women are treated by society, came in second with just over 36 percent.
Our personal choice, “Marry the Night,” came in a distant third, with 10 percent, and the Mutt Lange-produced rock ballad “You and I” brought in only 1.4 percent of the vote. “Marry the Night” was inspired by Gaga’s hometown of New York City and was originally intended as the first single from Born This
So summer is just around the corner and the concert season is heating up! Within just these past three weeks since our latest New Music Mix, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to catch Yelle otherwise known as the French equation to Robyn, British musical prodigy James Blake with Active Child, and Swedish indie singer Lykke Li live in concert. All were equally awesome in their own right.
I have not had quite as much fun at a show (probably since first seeing Robyn in concert) as I did when I saw Yelle. Going into Yelle’s show I was only familiar with a few of her songs. The Tepr remix of “A Cause des Garcons” was posted on Perezhilton.com a few years ago and I knew that this gal had something special, especially after the video went so viral.

After having a taste of infectious tunes like ‘Judas’ and the title track ‘Born this Way,’ Lady Gaga fans have been anxiously awaiting the release of her full album. While some outlets have given Lady Gaga‘s sophomore effort less than rave reviews, plenty of little monsters are sure to have it on repeat tonight!
The fast-paced and controversial ‘Judas’ reminds us of Gaga’s ‘Bad Romance’ days and the catchy chorus — ‘I’m still in love with Judas, baby’ — will have people singing to themselves.
Mother Monster often looks outward for influence, even channeling 80s Madonna in the super-fun track ‘Bad Kids.’
She takes on Latin music in ‘Americano,’ singing part of it in Spanish. (You’ll also hear French and German in her repertoire.)
And no, iTunes didn’t make a mistake.
Call it a home team advantage, but American critics seem to have nothing but glowing things to say about reigning pop princess Lady Gaga’s latest release, “Born This Way,” which dropped this morning. (European critics weren’t quite as cheery in their reviews of the album last week.) Comparisons with 1980s-era Madonna are rampant – most critics drop at least one Material Girl mention – and an NPR reviewer went as far as to compare Gaga to 1960s-era Bob Dylan.
"My husband just said that our relationship is over and didn't necessarily want a divorce. Well, he said, 'I may not be in a rush to get a divorce,'" Shania told Shaun in a Los Angeles interview on Thursday, referring to her now-ex, Mutt Lange. "But you certainly can't have your ...

"I lost my sense of trust, honesty and compassion," said Twain. "I crashed down and became what I consider an emotional mess. I've never been so miserable in my whole life. I just wanted to go to bed and never get up."
In an unforeseeable twist, Twain actually ended up marrying Thiebaud's ex-husband, Frederic Thiebaud.
"It was twisted," she admitted, "but so beautifully twisted. I really can't complain. I've got a beautiful man."
Twain details the dissolution of her marriage in her new book, "From This Moment On." She also details sexual abuse at the hands of her stepfather.
Twain's new show "Why Not?", it should be noted, debuts on
