Jeff Bridges & The Abiders have just been added as the musical headliner for the 2014 edition of Lebowski Fest, which hits La's Wiltern Theater on Friday, April 25. The two-day event kicks off with a screening of the Coens' absurd, whacky and wonderful 1998 cult classic "The Big Lebowski," followed by a wild bowling party boasting plenty of white Russians and a nihilist or two. This year's Lebowski Fest, in addition to a live performance from Bridges and his band, will feature performances from the Kyle Gass Band, and special guests Jim Hoosier, Luis Colina and Robin Jones. The first annual Lebowski Fest was held in Louisville in 2002, and has travelled to New York, La, Chicago, Las Vegas, Austin, Seattle, London and Edinburgh. It's a must-attend for fans of the film. On its release in 1998, The Big Lebowski was not one of the Coens' more successful films. The convoluted film noir pastiche was built around the amiably flaky Venice Beach dropout – and singularly ill-equipped ad-hoc private eye – known as the Dude (Jeff Bridges).
