John Henry Kurtz was born on October 24, 1945 in Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA. He was an actor, known for The Cosby Mysteries (1994), Exiled (1998) and Frame of Mind (2009). He died on March 8, 2008 in Cape May, New Jersey, USA.

Voice actor and performer, he was an announcer for the NBC Nightly News and Court TV.
Premier private collector of Civil War artifacts and was active as a reenactor from 1980s. Much of his collection was used in the PBS special "The Civil War.".
Lived in Vail, Colorado from 1973 to 1981 and was a local entertainer there. He left there to move to New York and appeared on Broadway.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era and when discharged, settled in the Los Angeles area. He recorded several albums on the ABC Dunhill record label.
Provided his voice on a number of commercials, Court TV and Saturday Night Live.
