Vidya Balan Tabu starrer Urumi to now re-release in Hindi as Ek Yoddha Shoorveer
Vidya Balan, Genelia D'Souza, Tabu, ace choreographer turned actor turned director Prabhu Dheva came together for a period saga titled Urumi, a 2011 Malayalam film directed by Kiran Kumar. Kiran who expressed his wish to re-release the film in Hindi as Ek Yoddha Shoorveer recently also approached the actors with the idea. Kiran who has already started prepping for what he likes to call as the 'Bahubali style' release of the Hindi version also maintained that they will be dubbing and re-releasing the film across India since the actors have a huge fan following up North. The film which revolves primarily around Genelia and Malayalam superstar Prithviraj is set in the 16th Century and a revenge saga amidst the backdrop of Vasco Da Gama's journey to South India. Born Free Entertainment comes back with its second release and this time with ten times more the confidence. With Love Breakups Zindagi they played it safe but with Bobby Jasoos they take a leap and it pays off.

Samar Shaikh’s is Born Free Entertainment’s weapon of choice and boy do they strike! Vidya Balan leads a cast for the first time since Kahaani and this time for a wholesome entertainer for all ages.

And although ‘wholesome entertainer’ may conjure images of yet another mediocre formularistic Bollywood film let me assure you Bobby Jasoos is anything but.

Set against the culturally rich backdrop of bustling Hyderabad, the film boasts of a high level of detail as far as the backdrop is concerned. From the scenery, to the linguistic to the life style, it all seems to be a slice of life from the heritage city.

Vidya Balan: ‘Thought would have to play Kitty to Karamchand in Bobby Jasoos’

Vidya Balan is essaying the titular role in Born Free Entertainment’s upcoming film Bobby Jasoos however, when the producers of the movie- Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha initially approached her for the film, Vidya assumed that she may have to play ‘Kitty to Karamchand’ in the movie. But the acting powerhouse was pleasantly surprised, when she was told that she’ll be the protagonist of the detective-thriller.

Presented by Zafar Shah, in association with Mother’s Eye, Unforgettable is produced by Grand Media Corporations Arshad Shah and Zarah Shah and Mumtaz Vision’s Arshad Yusuf Pathan, the film is scheduled to hit the silver screen on 13th June 2014. Chennai, Jan 29: Television actor Sagar of "Mogili Rekulu' fame is all set to make his silver screen debut with upcoming Telugu romantic-drama "Siddharth", which will be produced by Dasari Kiran Kumar, son of veteran filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao.

"I have a subject that I think only Sagar can do justice to. I don't see him as a debutant because with his television experience, I don't think audience will see him as one. He is a household name in the industry and, therefore, won't find it difficult to sustain," Naresh Chandra, "Siddharth" director, told Ians.

Chandra, who has earlier worked with producer Dil Raju, will start shooting.

'Vastha Nee Venuka' to be majorly shot in Europe
Chennai, Dec 11: Upcoming Telugu romantic drama "Vastha Nee Venuka" will be shot mostly in various picturesque locations of Europe, said its producer Dasari Kiran Kumar who promises that the film will be a visual treat.

"We will be shooting mostly in Europe and it is not because most Telugu films nowadays are shot abroad. It's because that the story of our film requires to be shot there, so we are heading to several locations there to shoot," Kiran Kumar told Ians.

Eesha of "Anthaku Mundhu Aa Tharavatha" fame has been cast opposite Havish, who plays the male lead in the film.

"We will head to Europe soon along with Eesha and Havish. We are on the lookout for another heroine and we hope to zero in on one soon," he.

When Bipasha Basu walked the ramp Tuesday at the Lakme Fashion Week (Lfw) Summer-Resort 2013, it reminded her of her modelling days and she said it’s not an easy career.

The 34-year-old, who turned to acting with “Ajnabee” in 2001, walked the ramp for Shantanu-Nikhil and looked spectacular in a fitted long navy blue gown with a plunging neckline and long flowy sleeves.

She said: “I have been a model before and it was great to be here again.”

“It’s great to be back here in front of the fashion fraternity in pretty clothes. Fashion week is good because so many designers get to showcase their work. I had participated in the first fashion week as a model,” Bipasha told media post show.
