Born in Vienna, Austria, in 1879, screenwriter Carl Krusada attended that city's prestigious Polytechnic Institute and Conservatory of Music. Emigrating to the US, he studied at Dearborn College in Chicago. He got into the film business in 1917 as a writer and stayed in it until the early 1940s, turning out well over 100 screenplays.
