The Deep: Season Two Renewal for Animated Netflix Series

Dhx Media, Technicolor, and A Stark Production have greenlit a second season of the animated children's TV series, The Deep. The production has received season two renewal commitments for a new season of 13 half-hour episodes from Netflix in the Us, as well as over-seas partners. The show is based on the graphic novel series created by Tom Taylor and illustrated by James Brouwer. Taylor serves as co-creator and lead writer. Brouwer serves as co-creator and art director.The Deep follows the adventures of a team of underwater explorers -- the Nekton family. The voice cast includes Vincent Tong, Ashleigh Ball, Michael Dobson, Kathleen Barr, James Higuchi, Saffron Henderson, Michael Kopsa, Shannon Chan-Kent, Ian James Corlett, Cole Howard, Lee Tockar, Samuel Vincent, Kazumi Evans, and Brian Drummond.  Read More… »

Now this is more like it! After finding success in the horror genre and taking a step up in the world with big(ger) budget films starring big name stars, such as Halle Berry in The Call and films like Oculus, WWE Studios have seemingly returned to the low-budget, WWE superstar featuring action movies that originally peaked my interest in the “studio” back in the early 2000s – in the days of The Condemned, 12 Rounds and The Marine – with Countdown.
