Gary Oldman Joins Kevin Costner in 'Criminal'

Gary Oldman is in negotiations to join Millennium Film's upcoming action thriller Criminal. Kevin Costner is already on board to star.

The film centers on a dead CIA agent's memory banks, secrets and particular skill-sets that are implanted into a dangerous prisoner to hopefully stop an evil plot. If the deal comes together, Gary Oldman will portray the CIA chief.

The Iceman director Ariel Vroman will be helming the project from a script written by Douglas Cook and David Weisberg. Chris Bender, J.C. Spink, Kevin King, Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman and Jason Bloom are producing.

Gary Oldman previously starred in the recent RoboCop remake and will next be seen in Child 44 alongside Tom Hardy and Joel Kinnaman. No production schedule has been released. »

Kevin Costner is in negotiations to star in Ariel Vromen's "Criminal" for Millennium Entertainment and Nu Image Films.

Costner would play a ruthless killer who rather than spend the rest of his life in jail, chooses to be the subject of a medical experiment in which the brain of a recently murdered field operative is implanted in his head.

Douglas Cook and David Weisberg ("The Rock," "Double Jeopardy") are writing the script whilst Jc Spink, Chris Bender Jake Weiner and Kevin King are producing. No word on a production schedule as yet.

Kevin Costner isn’t done showing off his edgier side, as he is in negotiations to star in Millennium Entertainment and Nu Image Films’ “Criminal,” which “The Iceman” helmer Ariel Vromen is on board to direct.

Jc Spink, Chris Bender Jake Weiner and Kevin King are producing. Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman, Jason Bloom, Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson and Mark Gill are exec produce. Douglas Cook and David Weisberg are writing the script, which revolves around a ruthless killer who, rather than spend the rest of his life in jail, chooses to be used in a medical experiment in which the brain of a recently murdered field operative is implanted in his head.

Robert Luketic will direct the female-centric Expendables spinoff The ExpendaBelles

Expendables writer-star Sylvester Stallone is producing the action movie with Kevin King, Avi Lerner and Mark Gill from a script by Kirsten Smith and Karen McCullah.

The ExpendaBelles will feature female action stars in a storyline that sees them pose as escorts in order to rescue a captured nuclear scientist.

Luketic comes to the project following his success with the romantic comedy Legally Blonde and the thriller 21.

Production is expected to begin this summer and casting will get underway in the coming weeks, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Cameron Diaz and Milla Jovovich have been linked to The ExpendaBelles in recent months.

No release date has been announced yet. »
