2009’s Naughty and Nice List!

24 December 2009 5:06 AM, PST | AfterElton.com | See recent AfterElton.com news »

Before the Ball dropped in Times Square to ring in 2009, the Great Gay Debate was underway in America. Prop. 8 was the catalyst, and in its wake everyone had an opinion on Glbt civil rights. We listened. We blogged. But someone else was watching too. Someone who sees you when you're sleeping, who knows when you're awake. Someone who knows when you've been bad or good — and keeps a list to prove it.

Yep, Santa Claus is coming to town in just a few days, and we've managed to get our hands on his 2009 Naughty and Nice list. The folks on the Naughty list will get a lump of clean burning coal in their stockings this year, and a rainbow-colored Asshat. The Nice list will receive an AfterElton.com Crown of Visibility, and "Glee: The Music, Volumes 1 and 2."

Adam Lambert, Boys Like Girls Welcome Christmas In This Week's 'Late Night Lineup'

21 December 2009 7:54 AM, PST | MTV Newsroom | See recent MTV Newsroom news »

Christmas is only four days away, and while a handful of shows are already on holiday hiatus (you won't see new episodes of "The Daily Show," "The Colbert Report" or "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" until 2010), there are plenty of shows delivering original content for the first three days of the week before reverting to repeats on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Adam Lambert continues his quest to get a copy of For Your Entertainment in every home with an appearance on Monday (December 21) night's edition of "The Jay Leno Show." Leno will also welcome Dane Cook on Tuesday (December 22) night's episode. "The Late Show with David Letterman" features a performance from Colbie Caillat on Tuesday night, while "The Tonight Show" will feature live sets from Silversun Pickups on Monday and Kid Cudi (fresh off the Lady Gaga tour) on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Fallon will talk to Martha Stewart on Monday (perhaps »

Norah Jones and Jimmy Kimmel rewrite a Christmas classic

18 December 2009 7:49 PM, PST | AOL - TVSquad | See recent AOL - TVSquad news »

If you're anything like me (first of all, may God have mercy on your soul), you always scratch your head when you hear "The 12 Days of Christmas." Who the hell wants maids-a-milking outside of some bizarre hedonism cruise?

Thankfully, crooner Norah Jones and late night's Jimmy Kimmel have stepped in to give the classic song a desperately needed updating.

Adam Lambert And Kris Allen At Jingle Ball: The MTV News Outtakes!

18 December 2009 3:00 PM, PST | MTV Newsroom | See recent MTV Newsroom news »

It's been a great week to be an "American Idol" fan. Kris Allen rocked "The Late Show with David Letterman" in Christmas sweaters on Wednesday (December 16), Allison Iraheta ferociously tore through her single on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" last night and Adam Lambert appeared on nearly every TV show on the air. (I spied Gokey performing his new country material in North Carolina, too.)

Just last Friday (December 11), I caught up with Kris, Adam and Allison (also known as Kradison) before they hit the stage at Madison Square Garden for Z-100's Jingle Ball concert. (Kris was the only Season 8 "Idol" alum performing that night; the other two were tapped to show off their speaking voices by introducing other acts.) It was a fun gig, what with all of the artists in especially jovial moods, which means our interviews were especially conversational and loose. You know what that leads to: outtakes! »

Allison Iraheta on Kimmel: 'Oh yeah!'

18 December 2009 7:54 AM, PST | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

Last night found American Idol fourth-place finisher Allison Iraheta performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The rocker did her hot, screw-you single "Friday I'll Be Over U," and I must say, she's really coming into her own as a performer. See for yourself here: I feel like people will continue to sort of compare her to P!nk, but whatever. This girl's got style, a cool look, a good voice, and crazy-fun hair. And I feel like her signature "Oh yeah!" screams are especially good here. What do you think, PopWatchers? Are you impressed with Allison's performance? Is "Friday I'll Be »

Late Night Highlights: Double the Lambert, Avatar Butts and More Snooki

17 December 2009 12:10 PM, PST | Movieline | See recent Movieline news »

Beware, reality stars are taking over late night television. First, the three Jersey Shore cast members with the best nicknames -- "The Situation", Snooki and Pauly D -- hit Jimmy Kimmel Live! to recreate the Christmas story and then they blew Jay Leno's mind during Jaywalk All-Stars, which is basically an SNL Jeopardy sketch. Also featured in a late night doubleheader was Adam Lambert, who visited Chelsea Lately and the Jay Leno Show. Jersey Shore Performs the Story of Christmas: 'Oh Mah Gah, Baby Jesus'

17 December 2009 8:15 AM, PST | Movieline | See recent Movieline news »

It's been a wild ride for the bronzed cast of MTV's Jersey Shore with advertiser complaints, sucker punches, more complaints from Italian-American groups and death threats. But last night, Pauly D., "The Situation" and Snooki put the negativity out of their blown-out and poofed heads to celebrate the birth of Christ on Jimmy Kimmel. Outfitted in robes with easy ab access and joined by a camel, the three wise guidos performed the Story of Christmas. Video after the jump. »

Glee’s Lea Michele Talked About Old Sex Scenes On Jimmy Kimmel Live Clip

16 December 2009 11:40 AM, PST | OnTheFlix | See recent OnTheFlix news »

Glee's Lea Michele talked about old sex scenes on Jimmy Kimmel live clip. Jimmy Kimmel interviewed Leah Michele who is one of the stars of Fox's new hit show, "Glee." It was a pretty funny interview. At one point, they started talking about an old play Leah did, which involved simulated sex scenes and drunk audience members. Oh, and they talked a tiny bit about "Glee" as well, but not much. Leah Michele started off the interview by revealing that she never heard of a Glee Club until she started acting on the show. Leah said she was in her first Broadway show when she was 8 years old. However, she had only auditioned for fun,but ended up getting the part. Then, Jimmy showed a picture of her when she was in that Broadway play,at the age of eight. »

Idol Kris Allen Says Adam Lambert is Finally Showing His True Colors

15 December 2009 7:10 AM, PST | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

Shocked over Adam Lambert's recent performance antics? Don't be, says American Idol winner Kris Allen, because there is more to come. "Yeah, that's who he is," Allen told the press at last Friday's Z100's Jingle Ball at New York's Madison Square Garden. "Obviously, he couldn't do that stuff on Idol. And so you're getting to see the real Adam now." Lambert caused an uproar for his sexually-charged performance on the American Music Awards last month, which led ABC to cancel his scheduled New Year's Eve appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and his performance on Good Morning America. Adam Lambert on 'The View': 'I'm Not a Baby Sitter'

10 December 2009 11:27 PM, PST | Celebrity Mania | See recent Celebrity Mania news »

Adam Lambert has made an appearance on the Thursday, December 10 episode of "The View". Sat down with hosts Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Sheri Shepherd, and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the runner-up of "American Idol" season 8 once again addressed his raunchy performance at 2009 American Music Awards. He insisted, "I'm not a babysitter."

Elaborating his statement, Lambert continued, "My job is not to take care of your kids. That's your job ... It's not American Idol anymore. It's my career." Though so, the 27-year-old revealed that he had learned something from the controversy. "I think now I'm a little more conscious of it."

"I wasn't up there on stage like, 'Oh, this is going to get them'," he said of his AMAs performance, which saw him spontaneously making out with his straight male keyboardist. "I'll probably stay more consistent in rehearsal to performance."

During the interview, Lambert also admitted that the controversy had helped to »

Video: Adam Lambert's Pre-Taped Appearance on 'The View'

10 December 2009 7:57 PM, PST | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

Adam Lambert avoided another controversy when he pre-taped an interview for "The View" on Thursday, December 10, just one day after he sat down with Barbara Walters for her "10 Most Fascinating People of 2009" special. Wearing a black outfit combined with jeans and sporting his trademarked mascara, the gay singer was asked to address his notorious American Music Awards (AMAs) performance last month.

Though admitting he has no hard feeling that ABC didn't trust him to do a live broadcast, still he complained, "I'm surprised. I'm like, 'Really? Is it really that big of a deal?' " Above all, the "American Idol" season 8 runner-up admitted to have learned his lesson on how to deliver an appropriate live performance in the future ever since his much-criticized AMAs performance.

Though ABC has canceled several of Adam Lambert's appearances in the wake of his controversial American Music Awards performance last month, he appeared on the network Wednesday night as part of Barbara Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People of 2009" special. And when the "American Idol" runner-up sat down with Walters, he said he still wouldn't apologize for his onstage antics.

But he was also quick to point out that one performance doesn't define who he is as a person or an artist. "To be honest with you, I just — adrenaline is a funny, funny thing and ... I got really excited," he told Walters. "No regrets."

Seven Things We've Learned from the Adam Lambert Controversy (And One Piece of Blatant Speculation)

9 December 2009 12:08 PM, PST | AfterElton.com | See recent AfterElton.com news »

Wait! Stop! I know you're probably as sick to death as I am of Adam Lambert and the controversy surrounding his November 22nd performance at the American Music Awards.

But before you run screaming from the computer at the sight of another article about this, I think it's worth asking: what did it all mean? More importantly, what does the rapidly fading moment in pop culture say about America, 2009?

Here's how I see it:

Being an Openly Gay Singer is a Much Less Big Deal Than it Used to Be

For most of the time while he was lead singer for Culture Club, Boy George downplayed or denied the fact that he is gay.

Boy George! The make-up wearing cross-dresser who everyone assumed was gay anyway!

Why in the world would he do that? Probably because he'd seen the devastating career fall-out in the 1970s and early 80s when male singers like Elton John, »

Lambert Invited To ABC’S “The View”

8 December 2009 11:25 AM, PST | Studio Briefing - TV News | See recent Studio Briefing - TV News news »

Adam Lambert, who was kicked off ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live and Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve show, has found himself welcome at ABC's The View. "Hey friends! I will be performing and hanging w the ladies of ABC's The View Thursday the 10th!" Lambert tweeted on Monday. His appearance was confirmed on the show itself by co-host Barbara Walters, whose Barwell Productions co-produces The View with ABC Daytime. She noted, however, that unlike most episodes of the show, Lambert's will be taped in advance "because people seem to be afraid of what he'll do." The View panelist Sherri Shepherd couldn't hide her amusement at Walters's announcement. "Why?" she asked. "Is he gonna take one of our heads and grind it into his crotch?"

Adam Lambert, Kris Allen Will Perform on 'So You Think You Can Dance'

7 December 2009 6:25 PM, PST | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

Adam Lambert is confirmed to make a live appearance on the result show of Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" finale on December 16. He will deliver his single "Whataya Want From Me" which is taken from his debut album "For Your Entertainment".

Adam will not be the only "American Idol" alum who rocks the reality dancing show. This week, his Idol pal Kris Allen is also set to perform on the live result show, singing "Live Like We're Dying" on December 9.

Before singing on "Sytycd", Adam Lambert has to visit ABC's "The View" first. Instead of having a live stage act like he did at 2009 American Music Awards which cost him "Good Morning America" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" appearances, he is scheduled to tape his performance and interview with the ladies. The episode will be aired this coming Thursday, December 10.

Fox Asks Adam Lambert to 'Dance'

By Josef Adalian

Who needs Jimmy Kimmel? Glambert's got "So You Think You Can Dance."

"American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert has been booked to perform on the Dec. 16 season finale of Fox's dance competition, the network announced Monday. He'll perform his single "Whataya Want From Me," which sounds appropriate given the recent kerfuffle over his American Music Awards performance.

On one hand, it's no shocker Lambert would appear on "Dance": One of the show's producers is 19 Entertainment, which is half the team behind "Idol."
