Kim Jong-il was born on February 16, 1941 in Vyatskoe, Khabarovskiy rayon, Khabarovskiy kray, RSFSR, USSR as Yuriy Irsenovich Kim. He was a producer and writer, known for The Juche Idea (2008), Bulgasari (1985) and The Schoolgirl's Diary (2007). He was married to Kim Young-sook.
