If Wake Up Sid was the most talked about film, it is certainly also the most awaited home video release. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher, Supriya Pathak, and Rahul Khanna in power packed performances, directed by debutant Ayan Mukerji, the film has bowled over critics and the public alike.
Wake Up Sid's strength lies in its refreshing screenplay and believable performances. Sid (Ranbir Kapoor) enjoys his own childishness, lack of direction and Mumbai with such earnest indifference, that the audience develops an actual empathy & sympathy for him.
Aisha (Konkona Sen Sharma), a mix of ambition and maturity, is a complete contrast to Sid. But the comfortable chemistry the unlikely duo share is a treat to watch.
Taran Adarsh gave the movie a 'Thumbs Up', noting that Ranbir Kapoor has given an 'award-worthy performance'. Anupama Chopra gave it 3 stars for the movie's 'honesty, freshness and some genuinely tender and moving moments'. »

A number of well known Indian Bollywood stars have been supporting the activities of PETA in India.
Among recent campaigns, actors Arjun Rampal, Raveena Tandon, Rahul Khanna and many others have signed a petition to the government asking for a ban on bullock drawn oil carts seen in Mumbai. Actor Raveena Tandon also posed with a cow for a PETA advert creating awareness about animals transported to abattoirs. Raveena adopted dogs and cats rescued by PETA volunteers when they needed a loving home and posed for an anti-leather ad for PETA by wearing a fake snake skin outfit.
Actor Celina Jaitly appeared in a PETA ad in 2009 for saving elephants from captivity. In the ad Celina is seen shackled and with bruises all over her body next to a tagline: “Shackled, Beaten, Abused – Stop Cruelty To Elephants”. Celina hosted an event in Switzerland which raised 1 million Swiss francs to help captive elephants. »

Wake Up Sid is the coming-of-age story of a slacker named Sid, played by Ranbir Kapoor. In a wonderfully done title sequence, debutant director Ayan Mukherji shows us Sid struggling with accounting the night before his final exam. He’s had four cups of coffee and stays up till 3 am but he doesn’t get past the first question.
Unfortunately the film doesn’t maintain this crackling momentum and becomes a patchy, predictable story held together by the sheer. »

Sammir Dattani has entered the A-list segment. The actor will be playing an important crucial role in Dharma Production's I Hate Love stories. The movie stars Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead, directed by debutant director Puneet Malhotra.
