- Lisa, who owns a T-shirt store, and Billy, a lawyer, get engaged. Billy is defending Randall Dotson, who shot his wife Loreen in a jealous rage. This gets his picture in the paper and Lisa sees the article and wants to meet him. Karen is an artist who has had a crush on Billy and can't believe a mousy woman like Lisa is going to end up with Billy. When Billy says Karen's art lacks passion, she paints him a special painting, invites him over and seduces him. When Lisa discovers Billy's affair, she wants to call off the wedding, but Lisa's mother talks her out of it. Instead Lisa goes off to sleep with Thumper to get even. She tells Billy she and Thumper had sex but he still takes her back and they get married. Then Lisa's mother confesses the catering deposit was non-refundable.
