Trivia:

Kendrick had a lifelong interest in the training of the blind due to his work with blinded veterans. He created the character of Captain Duncan Maclain to show that the blind can be independent and resourceful. He was the organizer of the Blinded Veterans' Association and served as chairman on its board of directors. In honor of his work, Kendrick received a plaque from General Omar Bradley. See more »
