During the dry programming of this holiday season, there is no time like the present to catch up with your favorite soap actors and actresses as they work their asses off on web series. Yes, that’s right. Web series. While they are hard working actors year round on their respective soap operas, many have also stepped out to produce and star in their own creative vision via the internet.

When Guiding Light went off the air last year, they were in the middle of one of the most lauded lesbian storylines ever to hit the screen. Olivia and Natalia played by Crystal Chappell and JessicaLeccia, respectively, two women previously involved with and married to men and one, Natalia, a reverent Christian, had fallen in love. Guiding Light: Say Goodbye on a Special Cruise Vacation

CBS' long-running soap opera Guiding Light left the air last September after more than 50 years on television. Many viewers found it hard to say goodbye to the characters and the performers who played them. Now, if you have the money and time, you can say goodbye up close and personal.

A "So Long Springfield" cruise is taking place on Carnival's Glory ship from July 31st until August 5th. The boat is set to sail out of New York City and visit St. John, New Brunswick, and Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Performers scheduled to take part include Kim Zimmer, Robert Newman, Justin Deas, Grant Aleksander, Beth Chamberlin, Ron Raines, Jordan Clarke, Tina Sloan, Roger Bogue, Liz Keifer, Michael O'Leary, Frank Dicopoulos, and Mandy Bruno.
