Midnight, Texas arrived on the small screen in 2017 as a mid-season replacement show with mixed reviews, and not many people expected it to last beyond its placeholder existence in the line-up, but this week NBC has confirmed that not only did season 1 do rather well, but that season 2 is also in the pipeline.

The first season ended up being the network's top rated summer drama in the coveted 18-49 demo last year, they announced this week, and now the series - based on the bestselling novels by Charlaine Harris - along with stars Francois Arnaud, Dylan Bruce, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Arielle Kebbel and Jason Lewis, will be back. Hurrah!
That's right, Midnight, Texas Season 2 has been announced at NBC. There are a couple catches, though.
Former series regulars Sarah Ramos and Yul Vasquez will not be returning in the same capacity as their duties during Midnight, Texas Season 1.
Additionally, Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder who were consulting producers during the show's first season will take over as executive producers new showrunners for the upcoming season.
If you recall, Ramos played Creek Lovell, one of the few humans without powers in Midnight and the sister of a mass murderer, as it turned out.

By the end of the first season, her entire family was in tatters, and her world was shattered. Even though she was in a relationship with newcomer and psychic Manfred, her current situation left her with few alternatives.
In addition, Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder will take over as co-showrunners on Season 2, taking over from series creator Monica Owusu-Breen. Charmelo and Snyder served as consulting producers on the first season and have an overall deal with Universal Television. They will executive produce along with David Janollari. The series is produced by Universal Television and David Janollari Entertainment.

NBC has renewed the supernatural drama based on Charlaine Harris’ novels for a second season, TVLine has learned.
Most of the series’ regulars — François Arnaud, Dylan Bruce, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Arielle Kebbel and Jason Lewis — are confirmed to return. (You’ll notice this list does not include Yul Vazquez, who played holy man/weretiger Rev. Emilio Sheehan, and Sarah Ramos, who played Manfred’s love interest Creek. We hear that Ramos chose not to return to the series in order to pursue other projects, but there’s a possibility she’ll be back as a guest star.

Kebbel posted photos of her sister on Saturday and said Julia was last seen walking her dog on Wednesday night in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles.
“She has tattoos on both fore arms. She has a spiritual symbol w/ a key and the words promise on one fore arm and a blue Phoenix rising on the other,” Kebbel wrote to describe her sister. “Her chocolate lab is named Cindy Crawford. She is chipped. If anyone finds the dog or has seen her, pls let us know.”
People reported there was a fire in Julia’s apartment the day she went missing.
Kebbel later posted a missing persons poster and created the hashtag #BringJuliaHome to aid in spreading the word on social media.
