J.R. Ewing lives again.
TNT has greenlit its long-in-development remake of "Dallas," which will have a new cast but also feature the returns of several of the original series' stars, including Larry Hagman as J.R. Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray will also reprise their roles as Bobby and Sue Ellen Ewing.
"Dallas" will also star Josh Henderson ("90210"), Jesse Metcalfe ("Desperate Housewives," "Chase"), Jordana Brewster ("Fast Five," "Chuck"), Julie Gonzalo ("Eli Stone") and Brenda Strong ("Desperate Housewives"). Cynthia Cidre ("Cane," "The Mambo Kings") wrote the pilot and will executive produce with director Michael Robin ("The Closer," "Nip/Tuck").
The series won't premiere until next summer, but viewers can get their first look at the show Monday (July 11) during the season premieres of "The Closer" and "Rizzoli & Isles" on TNT.

It’s unclear what version of the word “bleakest” Rob Zombie is using to describe his new project Lords of Salem. On the one hand, it could refer to the tone of the piece. On the other, it could refer to the level of skill involved in the execution. If it’s that second, he’s going to have a tough job topping Halloween 2. However, no matter what he did to that beloved franchise, it’s difficult not to love a filmmaker who will start filming a new project in April, go on a rock tour in the Summer, and then edit the footage into a film in the Fall. Taking breaks to rock out is always encourage (Steven Spielberg did it when he was still in Kiss).
