Walter Karig (1898–1956)


A former US Navy captain, he wrote a number of naval history works on Allied operations during World War II. He authored scripts for the television series Victory at Sea (1952). Besides writing naval history, he also worked as a journalist and wrote a number of novels. See more trivia »

He revealed to catalogers at the Library of Congress that he was the true author of three Nancy Drew volumes.
