Ana De La Reguera has joined the cast of Starz’s hit series “Power,” Variety has learned exclusively.

The Mexican actress has been cast in a recurring role, playing a high-level drug dealer named Alicia Jimenez. She will appear in three episodes.

De La Reguera is not the first new addition to “Power’s” fourth season. “Fast and Furious” actor Sung Kang has also joined the series in an undisclosed role.

Power,” which has been renewed for a fourth and fifth season, is one of Starz’s all-time highest-rated series. The crime drama from executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and creator Courtney Kemp ranked as the second highest-rated premium cable show in all of 2016, only behind “Game of Thrones.”

Power” is the latest TV gig for De La Reguera, who is known from “Eastbound & Down.” She is coming off of a recurring role on Netflix’s “Narcos” and an arc on the CW’s “Jane the Virgin.” Up »

Robbie And Stephen Amell Join Forces Again For Code 8 Feature Film

9 February 2017 3:05 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Berlin’s International Film Festival is just now getting underway, and already we’re beginning to catch wind of exciting projects emerging from the European Film Market. Case in point: Code 8, a bold sci-fi feature starring Stephen and Robbie Amell.

Best known for their work on the small screen – Stephen with Arrow; Robbie with The Flash – the Amells headlined Jeff Chan’s short film of the same name when it launched in 2016. An Indiegogo campaign was quickly whipped into shape with the intention of transforming Code 8 into a full-length feature and, after raising upwards of $1.7 million, Deadline brings word from Berlin that Xyz Films has scooped up international rights to the project in question.

The script, one dreamed up by Chan and Chris Paré, takes place in the not-so-distant future, where a portion of the human population – 4 percent, to be precise – are born with some type of supernatural ability. »
