Something to Sing About -- A New York bandleader is offered a contract for film in LA. They move to California where his lack of desire to be a star is thought to be arrogance.  Sick of Hollywood, he takes his wife on a cruise, but when they come back he is indeed a superstar. Second Chorus -- When perennial college students Danny O'Neill and Hank Taylor are forced to make it on their own, the competitive pair get jobs with Artie Shaw's band and reunite with ex-manager Ellen Miller. The Great Gabbo -- An insanely, egocentric ventriloquist, even though he is possessed by his wooden dummy, is in love with a dancer who is in love with another. The dummy gives advice to the ventriloquist.
