The Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life TV show on Fox has been officially cancelled after its first and only season. This comes as a shock to no one who has been following the low-rated freshman comedy series. Fox previously demoted the show out of primetime, then wiped it completely from the schedule during May sweeps, replacing it with reruns of The Simpsons.

There is no word from Deadline, on whether Fox will burn off the remaining episodes of Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life, but that seems unlikely. Thirteen episodes have been produced. “How to Survive Your Parents’ Visit,” guest starring Alan Ruck, Jane Kaczmarek, and »

The upcoming film adaptations of Stephen King’s beloved horror novel It and the 70s/80s NBC drama series CHiPs have been slated for 2017 release dates by Warner Bros. Entertainment

First off, CHiPs, an action-comedy which follows the adventures of two California Highway Patrol motorcycle officers, will hit theaters on August 11, 2017. Currently, the only other project set for that release date is Sony’s The Emoji Movie, a movie that most likely will attract a much younger audience than the adult-aimed CHiPs.

Dax Shepard wrote, directs, produces and stars in the project, the last of which alongside Michael Peña, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ada Brody, Kristen BellJane Kaczmarek and more.

On the other hand, the slightly troubled It is now set to be released on September 7, 2017. Previously, Cary Fukunaga (True Detective, Beasts of No Nation) was attached to direct but eventually departed due to creative differences with the studio. Will Poulter »

The Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life TV show seems to have been cancelled by Fox. The show, starring Jack Cutmore-Scott, Meaghan Rath, James Earl, Charlie Saxton, Justin Bartha, and Liza Lapira, is off the Fox schedule.  A rerun of The Simpsons, "Lisa the Veterinarian," has now been scheduled to air in Cooper Barrett's 7:30pm timeslot, on May 8th. As reported last week, the network had already preempted the episode once slated for April 24th.

Fox ordered 13 episodes of Cooper Barrett's Guide but tonight's episode, "How to Survive Your Parents' Visit," guest starring Alan Ruck, Jane Kaczmarek, and Juicy J (Jordan Houston), is only the 10th to make it to air. It could be Cooper Barrett's TV series finale. Watch three previews, below. The first season finale was originally scheduled for May 8th, but the preemptions have ruled that out. »
