I'm excited about the premiere of Season 2 of Stevie TV tonight at 10 pm on VH1! This season, star Stevie Ryan will be impersonating such celebs as Kim Richards, Kristen Stewart, Brad Goreski, Zooey Deschanel, and Justin Bieber. In addition to the previews looking awesomely unhinged, many of the sketches will star bisexual comic Nicol Paone. Check out this one, about a twerking intervention (Paone plays the therapist).
I, too, wish I could back time's ass up!
The peeps over at Lez Get Real posted an article entitled "Arrested Development Fans Questioning de Rossi’s Face." Her face looks fine to me. »

O is for the Other Things: Plumb’s Debut an Idiosyncratic Exercise in Domestic Ennui
Video and performance artist Shannon Plumb makes her directorial debut with Towheads, which showcases her considerable talent for physical comedy and well executed gags, here nestled within the rather morbid framework of possible mental instability caused by the monotony of domestic life. Her film is a family affair, starring her two young sons and her husband, director Derek Cianfrance, which lends the proceedings a certain dramatic depth that the overtly light and comedic tone might otherwise sweep away.
Penelope (Shannon Plumb) is a rather distracted and harried mother of two young sun bleached blond boys, 4 year old Cody and 7 year old Walker (Cody and Walker Cianfrance). She’s sharing a seemingly functional marriage with her theater director husband, Matt (Derek Cianfrance), but not only is he largely absent while pursuing the dreams of his own profession, »

In an interview with EW, Jane Lynch revealed that she gets cast in a lot of roles that were originally scripted for men. Lynch said, “I have numerous roles that I’ve played that were originally written for men. The first role I ever had was playing a king in The Princess and the Pea story. My character in 40-Year-Old Virgin originally was a man. I’ve played tons of doctors and teachers and lawyers on guest spots on sitcoms that were originally conceived for men, that my agent was smart enough to say, 'Do you see a woman in this role?' That’s happened to me a lot. »

The mighty and all-powerful Chicago Underground Film Festival has done the absolute unthinkable: Reached their 20th year of operation! How many underground festivals have accomplished that feat? None, until now! Well, “now” being March 6-10 at the fest’s new location: The Logan Theatre.
Obviously, there are a lot of people who have worked with the fest over the years to help make it last for exactly two fantastic decades, but, truly, there is one special person who has to be specially lauded for his tireless dedication to the advancement of underground film and its makers. Especially because Cuff hasn’t just been around for 20 years: It’s been fucking awesome for 20 years.
That person, of course, is Artistic Director Bryan Wendorf, who has been with the fest for the very first edition to it’s most recent, mind-blowing one. Year after year, Wendorf has guided Cuff into defining, challenging, »

Highlights below. Miranda July also interviewed Dunham for Interview magazine here. Dunham on James Franco accusing "Girls" of being "another show about white people": “I think someone told James Franco that it’s his duty to have an opinion on everything that happens in culture. We are going to find out that he’s in the CIA, he’s a fireman, and he’s going on the next moon mission with Lance Bass.” On her Golden Globes comment that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler inspired her during middle school: “It came from the most earnest place. Girls star Lena Dunham has revealed that she has no qualms about talking publicly about her relationship with Jack Antonoff. Dunham and the .fun guitarist were first rumoured to be dating in September, but speaking to Miranda July for Interview magazine, the writer and actress explained that she doesn't understand why she wouldn't want to open up about her relationship. "I'm totally fine to state his name: it's Jack Antonoff," she said. "I know there's some rule that you're not supposed to talk about your boyfriend publicly because it seems like all starlets under the age of 33 have decided not to do that, but if you're in love with someone great, then I don't understand why you wouldn't tell everybody." Dunham added: "You don't have to post naked pictures of them on the internet (more) »

Two of my favorite ladies teamed up for a stellar interview. Make sure to read Miranda July's in-depth conversation with Golden Globe winner Lena Dunham, who asked July about her first serious lady on lady relationship and inquired, "How did you feel about her vagina?"
Halle Berry stars in the horror film The Call.
Alias's Victor Garber confirmed that he's gay (and awesome). People has a great picture of Garber and his adorable partner artist/model Rainer Andreesen. I love love!

Another reason to love Lena Dunham! The Girls creator/director/actress tells Interview magazine that she is not one of those stars who won't speak publicly about her relationships. Violent, witty and peppered with references to past pop culture, Tarantino's film-making style has its own dictionary entry. Do any other modern directors have the same clout?
Tarantinoesque (adj) – referring to or reminiscent of the work of the American film-maker and actor Quentin Tarantino (born 1963), known for the violence and wit of his films.
No one these days, not even the Collins English Dictionary, doubts how influential Tarantino has been over his 21-year career. Any lippy thriller featuring pop culture-fried dialogue and flip violence in the wake of Reservoir Dogs – 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag, The 51st State, the works of Guy Ritchie – were branded you know what. And, impressively, it cemented into an enduring idiom: Joe Carnahan was still painting from the palette in 2007's Smokin' Aces, and reviewers were handing out the Tarantinoesque badge, a touch dog-eared now, as late as this Christmas gone, to Martin McDonagh's Seven Psychopaths. »

Lena Dunham isn't a person to try to hide her personal life from prying eyes. That's why she's made no secret of the fact she's dating Fun. band member Jack Antonoff or the fact that they're very much in love.
"I've always been a big 'I love you'-sayer and stuff. But then I worry," Dunham admits in a new interview in the February issue of Interview magazine. "Jack once overheard me calling someone else 'baby bug,' or some stupid name that I've called him before. I was like, 'What if he now thinks I'm just a big disingenuous piece of crap?' That kind of thing gives me anxiety because I want everyone I love to know how much I love them."
That sort of mentality is part of what has earned Dunham so much praise -- and backlash -- for her creative work. But what sets her apart »
