Rearview Review: Transformers 2 All 'Bots and Bods

24 June 2009 10:00 AM, PDT | From E! Online | See recent E! Online news

The robots looks better, sure, but is that all you got, Michael Bay? Do those things have to be onscreen the entire time? How about a little story? Needless to say, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen disappoints, despite Megan Fox and Tyrese looking hot. It's confusing, numbing and total robot-overload. Hit the clip to get my instant take, taped in my car after the screening with Clinton Sparks and Lil' Kim riding along. It's a segment we're calling Rearview Reviews. Have you seen Transformers 2 yet? Lemme know what you think!

Dancing With The Star’s Derek Hough Is in Lil Kim’s Music Video

21 June 2009 10:30 PM, PDT | From OnTheFlix | See recent OnTheFlix news

Derek Hough who was the dance partner with female rapstar Lil Kim on the 8th season of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" is now in Lil Kim's latest music video entitled, "Download". He doesn't do any dancing or anything in it,but he does appear in it,and I thought it was pretty interesting. Even though they were eliminated in week 9 from "Dancing With The Stars", it looks like they still kept up their friendship outside of the show.

East Rutherford, New Jersey — You guys better stop sleeping on Young Jeezy. The Atlanta rap king pulls out all stops during his big show appearances. The Snowman had the highlight of the night at Sunday's Summer Jam concert, bringing out both Drake and Jay-z on his set.

Young set it off with his massive stadium knockers/ club bangers, such as "Who Dat" and "Bottom of the Map." He always seems to have the upper hand on shows such as these, at any concert for that matter, because the sound of his music is huge, and the crowd loves his anthems.

Jeezy said he wanted do something for the ladies, and with a couple of thumps of bass preceding him,

Jay-z's march to battle continued right into East Rutherford, New Jersey, where he rocked the Summer Jam stage. Jay appeared as a guest of Young Jeezy and performed his new record off of Blueprint 3, "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune,)" for the first time.

Hov first appeared on the stage during "Put On," strolling out as the music set up his verse from the remix. The crowd cheered so uncontrollably, you could barely hear Jay rap.

"I put Marcy on the map, I put Brooklyn on my back," he began to rap, before getting drowned out by the crowd reciting his lines. "I put Fab back on the charts, I put Biggie in my raps/ I put Nas with Def Jam, I let Diddy do my tracks.

Paris Hilton Talks My New Bff: "I'm Not That Superficial"

1 June 2009 10:46 AM, PDT | From E! Online | See recent E! Online news

Our favorite scripted shows are gone, so it's time to give some summer reality programs a shot—like season two of Paris Hilton's My New Bff. Sure it's filled with preplanned scenarios (such as testing out a stripper pole), scripted events (a bachelor party for one of her guy friends) and silly challenges (like trying to find an egg in a larger-than-life-size cupcake), but if guilty-pleasure TV (à la Rock of Love, or really anything on MTV or VH1) gives you a giggle once in a while, then so will Paris' second season, which debuts Tuesday on MTV. We sat down with Miss Hilton to get the dirt on season two, which will feature guest appearances by Lil' Kim, Kathy Griffin and...

What If Notorious B.I.G. Were Still Here For His 37th Birthday?

21 May 2009 1:57 PM, PDT | From MTV Newsroom | See recent MTV Newsroom news

by Rahman Dukes

Arguably one of the greatest rappers ever to clutch the microphone, the Notorious B.I.G. celebrates what would have been his 37th birthday today. That’s right, the late great Frank White would have been just three years shy of officially being considered “over the hill.”

Since his untimely demise at the age of 24, there’s been much speculation for the past decade as to where the Brooklynite would stand in today’s rap climate. Would B.I.G. and his sidekick/boss Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs still be rocking together? What about Jay-z? Lil Kim? Let’s take a look.

Bad Boy: Although B.I.G. was the label’s flagship artist and only on his second album (a double at that), a certain Mr. Comb’s track record of retaining his artists for the duration of their contractual obligations is not an impressive one (check: Craig Mack,

Dancing's Ty and Chelsie Don't Feel Guilty About Outstaying Lil' Kim

14 May 2009 5:23 PM, PDT | From TVGuide.com - Features | See recent TVGuide - Features news

Ty Murray's Cinderella story came to an end on Dancing with the Stars this week after getting booted one week shy of the finale. The bright side? He stayed 10 weeks longer than most expected him to, out-charming, outwitting, but not necessarily out-dancing, his competition. "I think [partner Chelsie Hightower and I] probably brought a bigger fan base than what people expected to start with," he tells TVGuide.com. That fan base unexpectedly propelled them past Lil' Kim — but that didn't surprise them at all. See what else the twosome has to say about their long run, what their finale dance will be and if that rumba solo for Jewel paid dividends.

Recap: 'Dancing with the Stars' - Results - Who will make the final three?

12 May 2009 11:52 PM, PDT | From Hitfix.com | See recent Hitfix news

Here we go. Ten couples are gone. Four couples are left, one of which - Gilles & Cheryl - are coming off a double perfect 30 performance last night, and another - Ty & Chelsie - coming in the serious rear with just a 48 point combined.  It seems clear what's going to happen, but I'm fearful of ever being confident again after Lil' Kim's elimination last week (things truly aren't the same without her). After Raphael Saadiq and the Raphael Saadiq dancers open the show (it ain't Tony! Toni! Tone!),   Shawn & Mark recreate their perfect 30 quickstep with the...

'Dancing with the Stars 8' Sends Ty Murray Home

12 May 2009 11:34 PM, PDT | From Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news

"Dancing with the Stars" May 12 result show determines which couple go on to the final 3 round. Between Ty Murray and Melissa Rycroft, audience chose the former to leave the dance floor and let the "The Bachelor" contestant compete next week.

Both Ty and Melissa were not necessarily on the bottom two but they were not the top scorer based on the judges' score on Monday. Gilles Marini scored a perfect 60 out of 60 while Shawn Johnson scored 56 out of 60. Melissa was slightly under Shawn with 55 out of 60 while Ty scored the lowest with 48 out of 60.

Ty's elimination was on a happy tone for he had exceeded the expectation by being in the final four. Last week, he beat judges favorite Lil' Kim in taking the last spot in Top 4, thanks to the loyal fan base that vote him each week. Ty gave a speech on the result show, saying that

Video: Gilles Marini's Perfect 30 Waltz and Salsa in 'Dwts'

12 May 2009 12:41 AM, PDT | From Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news

Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke once again received a perfect score of 30 on "Dancing with the Stars". The new set of score is particularly critical since the couple is in the semi-final round along with three others, Ty Murray - Chelsie Hightower, Shawn Johnson - Mark Ballas, and Melissa Rycroft - Tony Dovolani.

Each of the pairs had to dance twice, a ballroom piece and one Latin style. Gilles and Cheryl picked on Waltz as their ballroom choice, dancing to Norah Jones' "Come Away With Me". In the rehearsal, Cheryl brought in Jonathan Roberts to teach Gilles on how to be a classy man dancer using the concept of 'frame and picture'.

The Waltz was raved on by the judges. Bruno jumped right up while saying that Gilles was "irresistibly romantic" and Carrie Ann said it was subtle, sweet and perfection. Len, while sitting down, said that he was

Recap: 'Dancing with the Stars' - Performances - Week 10

11 May 2009 11:07 PM, PDT | From Hitfix.com | See recent Hitfix news

A bunch of non-celebrity dancers usher in the semi-finals of this, the eighth season of "Dancing With The Stars," with a wink-wink-nudge performance to The Clash's "Should I Stay Or Stay Or Should I Go?" Though as the four remaining "stars" come down the stairs with their prof, its remarkably evident: Ty should go. He should have gone last week instead of Lil' Kim, and it would be ridiculous if he stays here past Gilles, Shawn or Melissa. Tom lets us know there's once again two dances this week - a ballroom round and a latin round - and then shows us how...
