Samantha Bee and Jason Jones: The Queen and King of TBS

9 hours ago | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

While Samantha Bee and Jason Jones might not necessarily consider themselves the queen and king of TBS, the home of Full Frontal With Samantha Bee and The Detour, the fact that TV’s newest power couple has helped usher in a new era for the network is nothing to treat lightly.

Now in its second season, Full Frontal’s ratings have skyrocketed, with the audience doubling in size from the first season’s premiere to the second. Paired with Conan, the satirical news program has made TBS a formidable player in the late-night arena. Meanwhile, The Detour, the ribald -- Jones’ preferred adjective over “raunchy” -- family comedy which returns for season two on Tuesday, Feb. 21, led a 2016 slate of critically acclaimed comedies, including Angie Tribeca (which premiered ahead of The Detour), People of Earth, Wrecked and Search Party. All of the shows were renewed for a second season, while Angie Tribeca was renewed for a third »

Remember, at the end of The Detour‘s first season, when the cops showed Nate all the photos of a woman who looked a lot like Robin? All those hairdos? Those ’80s and ’90s styles?

If you liked that, series star Natalie Zea says, you’ll be quite satisfied with the TBS comedy’s Season 2, which kicks off Tuesday at 10/9c.

Et Obsessions: Keanu Reeves, ‘You Me Her,’ Jason Jones on ‘The Detour’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ Live

20 February 2017 8:50 AM, PST | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

Here at Et, we’re obsessed with a lot of things -- and for the week of Feb. 20 to Feb. 27, this is what we’re most excited about:

Why We’re Obsessed With Keanu Reeves

Is it us, or is it Ok to like Keanu Reeves again? Following the success of John Wick: Chapter 2, which outgrossed its predecessor in its first eight days at the box office, and the buzz surrounding the Sundance hit-turned-Netflix film To the Bone, we’re renewing our appreciation for the longtime actor. Of course, this all follows last year’s big-budget homage to the Matrix star (Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key’s Keanu) and back-to-back supporting roles in critically acclaimed films like The Neon Demon and The Bad Batch.

Why We’re Obsessed With ‘You Me Her’

An unconventional rom-com, this At&T Audience network show explores the complicated world of throupling. And now that Jack and Emma (Greg Poehler -- yes »

The Detour Season 2 Review

16 February 2017 8:32 AM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Six episodes were provided prior to broadcast.

All it took was ten episodes last year for The Detour to solidify itself as one of the funniest and most outlandish new comedies on TV, managing to cover topics like overtly racist roadside chain restaurants and the anxiety over failing as a parent in one economical, hilarious swoop. The show was over-the-top to the point of idiocy at times, but it was an idiocy with class, the kind of thing with a set-piece poop joke that you could laugh at guiltily, but also somehow feel the need to tell everyone who’d listen about the show’s well-pitched humor.

Season 2, I’m happy to report, is as bawdy and disgusting as ever (actually, on that last point, it blows anything in season 1 out of the water). The characters are established, the structure is simultaneously fresh (new setting, no road trip) and comfortably »

Second Trailer for Jay Baruchel's Sequel 'Goon: Last of the Enforcers'

"You smell like hot dogs." "Thank you." eOne in Canada has debuted a new full-length trailer for the hockey comedy sequel Goon: Last of the Enforcers, bringing back another unkillable hitman for more non-stop action - Doug Glatt. Seann William Scott returns as Glatt picking up where the story left off in Goon, as he plans to retire from hockey (and fighting) but ends up back on the ice again, being trained for left-handed fighting by none other than Ross Rhea himself - Liev Schreiber. The full cast includes Elisha Cuthbert, Liev Schreiber, Alison Pill, T.J. Miller, Wyatt Russell, Marc-André Grondin, Jason Jones and Kim Coates. This actually looks pretty damn good, looking forward to seeing it sometime this year. Dive in. Here's the second official trailer for Jay Baruchel's Goon: Last of the Enforcers, direct from Bardown: You can still watch the first official trailer for Goon: Last of the Enforcers here, »

Samantha Bee is known for her quick wit and biting political satire, but when it comes to cooking, she means serious business.

In an interview with Bon Appetit‘s healthyish, the Full Frontal host dished on her typical daily diet and the struggles of cooking for picky children. “I have a pretty healthy relationship with food,” she said. “It’s one of the best relationships in my life, actually! We go way back.”

The comedian’s average day starts early, which calls for a hearty breakfast. “I’m awake in the 5’s, standing by 6, for sure, in the kitchen. Today »
