Angus was the first child whom the casting crew saw for the role of Jake on "Two and a Half Men" (2003). They liked him so much that they cast him immediately. Angus found out he had the job just as he was leaving the audition. "It was great not having to have the anticipation of a phone call," he said.
He began his career at age 4 doing television commercials.
He landed his first lead role, at age 6, in the feature film See Spot Run (2001).
Angus was honored as the Rising Star of 2009 at the Big Brothers Big Sisters Rising Star Gala in late October 2009. The award was presented to him by his "Two and a Half Men" (2003) co-star Jon Cryer.
He appeared at the Kids Night at the Dream Center LA with the cast of "Annie" to help Hurricane Katrina Orphans.
Since season 2, he has appeared on the opening titles of the American version of "Big Brother" (2000/II).
He has appeared on five CBS TV shows, far more than any other network.
Has a younger brother named Otto.
