Ghostly encounter turns dark as Ouija board opens door to spirit world in A Haunting

On A Haunting this week, an encounter with a friendly ghost goes well for three siblings using a Ouija board, but things take a dark turn when a door to the spirit world is opened up. It all just seems like a bit of fun as Carl, Cynthia, and Keith Johnson mess about with a spirit board, they even seem to contact a friendly family ghost. However, as we’ve seen in other shows the Ouija board has associations with demonic forces such as Zozo and many people have reported disturbing experiences using them. The board directs them to the cellar where things really more

Over 80% of us are "disappointed" by movie trailers

A new study confirms growing frustration with spoiler-filled and deceptive movie trailers...

A new piece of research undertaken by the University Of East Anglia has confirmed what many of us already very well know: film trailers are giving too much away.

The study surveyed over 500 filmgoers, and it found that more than 80% of those who responded were "disappointed" with a film they'd seen off the back of a trailer. Furthermore, the key frustrations were trailers that gave too much spoiler-y information away, and "deception". Which instantly makes us think of this story here.

In particular though, "audiences are strongly irritated by the revelation of crucial plot details including surprises, narrative reveals and plot outcomes – despite decades of industry research that indicates audiences are more likely to see it the more they know about it in advance".

That latter point is the crucial one there, we'd argue. Distributors need you to buy a ticket,

No,no, who am I kidding! I mean, they're not gonna be able to get all those kids together! I mean, the logisticsof the thing is impossible! It'smore trouble than it's worth! 'America's Got Talent' recap: Waking up (to rejection) in Vegas

After a lengthy audition round that made Transformers 2 look like a short film, America's Got Talent has finally moved on; winging its way to the City of Sin for two "callback" episodes that will determine the Top 40 acts. Vegas, baby, Vegas! It's screamingly appropriate that last night's episode -- so dismal for many contestants, so euphoric for others -- would take place in the easy-come, easy-go capital of the United States. Mere minutes into the show, our judges announced to the throng of 160 hopefuls gathered in an airport hangar (?) that 40 of them would be sent packing immediately, not even given the chance to perform in this second round. In five weeks this show has done little to surprise anyone watching, but the judges' decision here was as much a shock to the contestants as it was to us at home. "We've worked our hardest and...and we
